He doesn't have the personality for the job. He would let all the hangers on back into the program that Saban exiled. It would literally be Dubose part II. No thanks.

Uhmmm..He is an Alabama Grad, played on Gene Stallings National Championship team, Built a Clemson program into a national power, beat Nick Saban and you say he doesn't have the personality for the job?..Gotcha...

I seriously doubt Dabo does anything while both of his boys are at Clemson and on his team. Also, the latest rumor has the Browns wanting him.

As it has been said, Dabo can do no wrong at Clemson and he has one of the best jobs in College Football....Now if Dabo gets another National title and his kids graduate who knows?

Meh.....Dabo is good.....but he's not Saban. Besides Dabo wouldn't have the refs on our sides.

I’ve been told he doesn’t want the job but not by him personally!

Who is going to be another Saban? Another Saban is not coming around for the rest of our lifetimes. This does give me concern about the post-saban Alabama. We’re not going to be able to expect someone to come and even give us half the production Saban has had. If you wouldn’t be ecstatic with a Dabo hire I think you need to gain some perspective. I’ve yet to hear somebody name anyone they thought would be better if we were hiring today.

Well, no shite, no one is. If those are your requirements for your coach, you better hope Saban finds the fountain of youth and lives forever.

Dabo? Good gosh no. This isn’t an episode of Andy Griffith with Goober and Gomer. We will get who we want, a hardcore coach of the Saban mold.

What current former Saban assistant would you take over Dabo?

A lot of Alabama fans don't want Dabo!!!!!!!!! He's not the right fit for Alabama. There's a better coach out there. Jimbo Fisher is my pick for Alabama when Nick hangs it up. Jimbo is a better coach than Dabo. Without a "GREAT" QB Clemson and Dabo are average.

Forget about him being the right man for the job..

...I don't think he'd take it. He'd be a fool to take it. He has it humming there and is now a legend to them. He'd be setting himself up to disappoint the Bama fanbase who would run him off.

Well he's pretty fricking good at getting them, so I fail to see how that's a knock on him. BTW, so is Jimbo. What has Jimbo ever done without a good QB? I'll hang up and listen.

With that said, I don't think Dabo will want the job by the time Saban retires. As others have mentioned, he'll have been thee about 20 years, is already a god there, has raised his family there, his sons go there, etc. Dabo will retire at Clemson.

1) A&M has more money and resources. It's not an obvious move.
2) Did you watch the Auburn game? That loss is 100% on his play calling. No thanks.

I hate to tell you guys this but it ain’t all up to you. You obviously or too young to remember how difficult it was to replace bear Bryant. 90% of top coaches would turn that job down. It’s a no win situation
