This is weird.
You should tell OSU Fields is trash. I'm sure they will listen.
Also Jefferson and Greenard just got drafted pretty high. Guess their production meant nothing since they were transfers(just like the last Heisman winner)?

Every school should and does use the transfer portal. UF does use it more than others though. Probably a mix of Mullen’s mediocre recruiting, freshman leaving immediately after arriving at UF, and shark humper leaving roster issues.

Hey. If it continues to work I won't complain.
He has done very well getting high production from transfers so far. Lingard and Cox I'm pretty exact about them as potential studs. Shorter I'm a bit more skeptical of. We shall see. Never hurts to add talent at positions.
We def need to land depth at RB this cycle though. Greg Knox is such a bad recruiter.

Pretty smart especially if you're not a great recruiter.
Let someone do all the hard work of signing guys out of HS and sell em on your roster deficiencies once they're in the portal.
Hell,does OU even recruit HS QB's anymore?

To my knowledge, we haven’t used it. We’ve had several (maybe 6-8 enter it including some Sumlin holdovers encouraged to enter it) but we haven’t received any players from it. Aside from a few JUCO players, all our kids are home grown and developed. So no, not all schools use it.
Other Ags or anyone knowing different - pls correct me if I’m mistaken.
Also I don’t believe Saban’s used it.
Kind of interesting why some schools use it and some don’t. Wonder what the thinking is behind that.

Let's see his portal pick ups so far

Trevon Grimes
Adam Schuler
All 4 played big parts in finishing top 10 last 2 yrs
Portal is his new miss jucos only it's a lot easier getting real deal talent
Just because a kid didnt work out at another spot ie Lorenzo Lingard Justin Shorter Jordan Pouncey Brenton Cox etc
You assume they will suck. I know but we shall see I'm sure u woulda looked at Greenard last yr and thought meh. Still he was a monster when healthy and was first team all sec

He's recruiting fine
Once he finds his QB we good
He had Dak back to back first team all sec and if he had the D talent we are currently bringing in and better skill players who knows
Recruiting snobs lol Mac Mac would take guys with the worst offer lists ever. Not happening anymore thank god
He's done an undeniably fantastic job coaching tho 2 different QBs in 2 yrs 2 NY6 bowl wins
21-5 after taking over basically Tenn level talent

Sounds like he lost his starting spot at the end of the year.
Still, he has a ton of experience and showed a lot of success in run blocking.
