When, and what will happen to Steve Spurrier when he retires?

Serious thread, do yall think he will be a Joe Paterno and coach for the love of the game till the end of his days, or retire in the next 5 years? And if so, what will South Carolina do when or if he does?

He's gonna build a mud hut at Augusta and live out his autumn years golfing and killing gophers. And it'll be sooner rather than later. Coaching football is just a way to pay for his golf habit.

I think he retires before too long. He would've only gone JoePa if he'd stayed at Florida. Clearly he'd had enough there so I think he'll have enough of USC eventually too.

I hope he goes for another 5 years. I fear whAt will happen to his health if he stops coaching. Even he can play only so much golf.

Talking to friends at lunch today about this. If he retires at the end of this year, Petrino will be the next SC coach.

Pls stop making threads. If its not some kind of breaking news, it's already been talked about ad nauseam

The chick that fell of the bike with him is in Columbia now. Or at least she was this time last year.
True story

Uh.... no. He doesn't live to coach and coach to live; he's just really good at coaching so that's what he does. I give him at most 5 years, but if he wins the SEC before that, that's his final year

Cocks hired Lou as a HoF coach
Cocks hired OBC as HoF coach
my guess is they are a destination job now and will hire accordingly.

I don't believe this. OBC is "this close" to having USCe at an elite level.
