You almost (and should've) lost to Utah State. You played a close game against a crippled Florida. If Chris Relf dives you lose to Miss State...or at least go into OT. South Carolina has been playing like arse on offense and you still only won by 3.

So yes...you are getting lucky as hell and managing to win games you shouldn't. But that's not respectable...it's annoying.

This is fricking retarded.

A few years ago the West was AU and LSU's. Then bama signed a shitload of talent and won the West twice. Then AU won it again last year because we were loaded with seniors. It has been 4 years since LSU won the west and likely 5 by the time this year is over.

The last two years, AU has signed recruiting classes with a higher average ranking than either LSU or Alabama. Three years ago we also signed a solid class. Next year we lose practically no one. By the end of this year, we will have a very solid team as we are talented and getting better every game. Next year with all bama loses, the talent + experience gap between Bama, LSU, and AU will be small enough to where it will not be a significant factor, period.

Then you throw in we have a much more favorable schedule than Bama or LSU, we are at worst co-favorites to win the West. And considering we will sign our third straight top 5 class at best or 3 straight top 10 with a very solid class 4 years ago and the significant talent gap between the three schools is gone for many years to come.

Well, you suck...that's why. Seriously.

Serious question: did you read the thread? If you had, and I know you didn't, you would see that I said numerous times that I expect us to lose.
