Just coming to your defense, the greatest western division 5th place finalist of all time proved their OOC schedule was not lacking by the slug fest of a match up with UA-B.

UA-B has proven they can take down SEC teams before.

They Led Tennessee the whole game last year before choking in OT. You make it out like they are some pathetic team, they were actually decent. Hell, Joe Webb was their QB two years ago and he is starting for the Vikings now.

False.

Also, I don't see why everyone's freaking out that we have a crap OOC for once given the kinds of teams we've scheduled in the past decade and the kind that are lined up for the next.

UA-B is easily one of the top FBS programs in Alabama.

And if Mullen was at Ms. State back then, he easily could have been your starting QB too.

Meh, you deserve a pass.

Ms. State is starting to employ the scheduling strategy Kentucky has been using for years...

This assuring us more bowls, more practices, more national exposure every season.

FWIW we have picked up a 2 year deal with Southern Miss in 2014-2015

State, is worse. They play: Memphis, La Tech, UAB and UT Martin. That's shameful.

screw that- we are going to put together a bowl string first- we had the 1st or 2nd toughest schedule in the nation in 2009 and 15th last year

We gonna bowl the next 4-5 years and then we'll add a quality OOC again- why put a Jacksonville St on your schedule if you dont have to?

Not to mention:

State plays 3 top 10 teams in Bama, LSU, and UPig. Then add in top 20 probables SC and Georgia, who are the two favs in the East

Bama only plays UPig and LSU- 2 top 10 teams. Penn St is an iffy top 25 at best. Florida and Tenn wont be as good as SC or Georgia

I'd much rather have Bama's schedule in 2011 than State's

I guess by your logic Arkansas only plays Bama, LSU, and SC in conference and an iffy top 15 aTm.

This is what happens when the top teams can't play themselves...

Much rather have Ms. State's schedule, easiest path to 10 wins compared to Bama/LSU/Arkansas' schedules.

I think he is getting the "I'll take mine and beat yours, then take yours and beat mine" cliche mixed up...

We played tough OOC teams in the past such as Oregon, West Virginia, and Georgia Tech. Our AD felt it was better to have more home games and schedule CUSA and Sun Belt teams as opposed to BCS schools. This also assures that we get 4 OOC wins and only have to win 2 SEC games to be bowl eligible.

and you gave us shite for the past few seasons for crappy OOC schedules. Amazing how the tables turn.....
