What’s the worst beat down ever in the NCAA tournament. 40, 50, 60 points? I think the record may be in jeopardy tonight. Clemson is playing lights out. Or maybe Auburn just really sucks.

I'm sure some of these dominant 1 seeds have won by 60 points or so. Better question might be what is the worst blowout loss by a team to a lower-seeded team?

Arkansas beat Missouri by 52 in '94. It wasn't in the NCAAT, but both made the Elite Eight as #1 seeds.

The most lopsided Final Four loss was Nova beating OU by 44 a few years ago.

Not sure but Oklahoma losing 95-51 in the 2016 Final Four to Villanova has to be up there; the same OU team that Nova earlier that season. What a difference a few months make.

The funny part of this 31 point loss?

Clemson only shot 47.5% from the field, and in the high 30s from 3; if they had been truly offensively dynamic, it would have been by 50.

Does women's count? Because that 88 point beatdown Uconn did was ridiculous

I suspect almost any of the remaining 31 teams would have thrashed us last night

The nosedive has been spectacular. And while I assume SEC fans were well aware, the national media wasn't, considering they kept saying "when is Auburn going to show up" as if we hadn't been playing similarly to this for a month now.

UNLV beat Duke by 30 in the title game back in the early 90's. That is probably not the widest ever margain but it was a pretty bad whooping

I have never turned off an AU bball or football game for being so shitty.

I did just that yesterday. I'm ok with calling AU's game yesterday the worst I've ever seen. It's a shame what that team became from where they were. Oh well

They progressively lost the "fight" they had a month ago. The body language, motivation, and energy level was in the dumps when away from the home crowd in the Arena.
