They're fricking sweet

We do too. They were for James Meredith to move around the campus.

Most schools do. That's how things were heated back then. A central furnace piped hot air or steam through underground pipes to the various on-campus buildings.

Ole Miss has 'em.

On top of Pank's bit on the weed that we grow, Ole Miss also possesses the world's largest collection of recorded blues music, much of it being from the old acoustic story-telling days of the genre (think Great Depression era stuff).

On October 15th, 1869, the Pineville campus burned to the ground.
So Auburn should be back on its feet in about 100 years or so?

LSU comparatively recently donated land to the LSD to build a new campus south of the golf course.

Not sure if it was a straight up gift or just leasing the land.

We admitted our first African American student in the 1940s.

Every graduate in history has his/her name engraved into Senior Walk.

Some others about Arkansas......

-The Walton Family recently gave the largest gift ever given to a public institution in the United States. $300 million.

-The University of Arkansas is the only university campus that has a Walmart.

-Old Main was built in 1875. A northern builder was hired to build the building. Rumor has it, he made the northern tower taller than the southern as a reminder to us that the Union won the Civil War. Another rumor is that the contractor accidentally switched the towers after having too much to drink.

-Starting with the first Class of 1876, every individual who graduates from the University of Arkansas has their name inscribed on Senior Walk. Senior Walk is around 5 miles long and it winds all around campus.

-The University was the first major school in the south to accept an African-American. In 1948 Silas Hunt was admitted to the school of law.

It's not an entire facility but they are the tenants for a large portion of it. And the theater is gonna be pretty bad arse.

They have since changed the name to something else but when my HS basketball team played at their gym one time I bought some LSD from a teammate in the locker room after the game. :csb:

Yes you do.

Visited some friends back in the early 2000's there and stayed at the Sigma Chi house. We ran out of coke at about 4:00 one morning.

One of the guys said he knew where we could get some. I volunteered to drive, being told it was only about a 15 min drive. An hour and a half later we finally get to the house. We pull up and the fella(not saying names) tells us that in order to score an 8 ball we have to have sex with this guys wife. Apparently the husband had an accident and could not get "excited" and his wife would make him let her have sex in exchange for giving out coke.

Myself and a friend of mine sat in the truck for another hour or so while 3 of our other friends, 2 of which were Sigma Chi's went in and did their thing.

I was pretty freaked out to be honest, but a good story we all still tell to this day.
