My guess is we'll know more in about 2-3 weeks.

If the daily number of active cases continues to increase exponentially, and if the number of deaths is also still increasing, then we know we're in this for a very long time.

If the active cases peaks within the next 2-3 weeks, then I expect life will be relatively back to normal by June. Of course I think international travel will be restricted until this virus runs its course all over the world, and that could be many more months.

that's the thing though theatres cant re-open till 6-12 weeks, bars cant re-open till who knows when!

if they are making folks wait almost two weeks before returning to movies and bars how will they give the okay to let 75-85K inside football stadiums

There will be a season. A full season. I didn’t expect to be where we are now 3 weeks ago. So I certainly can be wrong. But not on this.

What about you?
Should you be named "Jim Sour" instead of "Jim Sweet"?

This isn't why "you dumb."

"You dumb" because you think it's "not important". Canceling the college football season would have a devastating economic impact to universities across the country as well as their communities and the retailers and their employees who earn their livelihood.

only time neither alabama and auburn did not field a college football team was during the Spanish flu and both world wars

that said as of right now I say 75% chance we do have football

and 70% chance we don't a few college students at sec universities have already been diagnosed with the coronavirus one at Auburn and one at Georgia

if this starts popping up among college students you can kiss football goodbye this year

I feel like this will pass relatively quickly, however the effects will be much worse. The economy will be in shambles.

I want football as much as the next guy, but do you honestly think college football, or NFL, or Premier League, holds a candle to collapsing verticals like the airlines, oil industry, etc?

Boggles my mind how insular so many people are. College football, while a fine distraction, is a luxury and minuscule in the grand scheme.

I'm hoping they develop a vaccine for terminal stupidity, because you need to go to the head of the line and get a double dose.
