Can you give an example of the hype?

Most people I talk to hope he can be serviceable, and not turn the ball over. We know we don't have a Heisman hopeful.

Put me as an Aggie in the skeptical camp. I'm still pissed that Sumlin ran off both of our 5-star QB's.

Having an experienced guy is better than the nothing we were left with, but it shouldn't have come to this, and I'm not optimistic about how it will turn out.

It's a shame, too, because I AM optimistic about the defense for once.

I think he can be serviceable, depending on OL and RB play. But if he is asked to throw 40+ times a game with little run game, that would be hard for anyone

You're expecting A&M fans to jump in claiming he's a Heisman candidate, I'd guess. I think most of us are anxious to see what he can do, and that's definitely a big unknown.

For me at least, and I expect for many other Aggies, one of his best qualities that has been sorely lacking at A&M is that he isn't a douchebag. That's a pretty big change.

He clearly has good leadership qualities. If the OL holds up I think he'll do very well. But we'll see.

I don't know that I've heard much hype about him. He doesn't need to be great. He just needs to be a game manager. His biggest attribute is the fact that he's older and has started big games so he should be a settling influence in what was a very unsettled situation a few months ago.

I think A&M's defense will be good enough that they can go 10-2 this year. They get Tennessee and LSU at home. If you chalk up the L at Bama, and they can win one of those two, I think they can beat everybody else on their schedule. That Ole Miss game will be tough too but they get them at Kyle Field as well. That game is the one that will make or break a 10 win season for them.

He can't even keep his love life with American sweetheart Sadie Robertson on track. How in the world is he going to keep the trainwreck of an aggie team on track?

He impressed the coaches and teammates with his maturity and work ethic

He has above average athletic ability, so he can rollout and get you a first downtown the ground

He transferred in at the right time

Cautiously optimistic that he shows good decision making and accuracy in the passing game

Not sure anyone cares how he played against a team that finished 7-6.

Well, in the Chavis v. Steele matchup last year, it was the one time where Steele had the upper hand all season. Maybe he can do it again. I just think A&M has a better QB situation than you do, and Chavis is a better DC with more talent to work with than Auburn has. Yes, Auburn is tough at home, and that could be one of those games that A&M should win, but doesn't.

Don't care how they finished. The point was, those were his only two good games, and he was supposed to lose both games according to ESPN and your boy Finenbombed.
