I think if the investigation never happened and Fulmer fired him after this year due to performance he would be allowed to make the next hire. Although the contract extension was really bad on his part.
Now he will be lucky to keep the job and if he does Randy Boyd and boosters will be doing the work.

I’m going to say that Tennessee did a small survey to judge season ticket sales and football donorship under Pruitt and it didn’t turn out the way they wanted.

Tennessee may not have the HS talent most states have, but they do have lots of money. The problem is what kid is going to sign with a program that doesn't even have the support of its administration and basically a HC waiting to be fired.
