We are and always will be the Rebels and there is no mascot that would properly represent that.

Rebels as a mascot will always been viewed as problematic. Nothing will change that.

I suppose a total re-branding to make them Revolutionary War "rebels" might be more acceptable, but even those were mostly just Huwite males, so....

The shark isn't all the gay. Honestly, the bear wasn't all that gay, either. IDK why there was such a dislike for it. It was probably better than the shark.

The once proud Colonel Reb has gone through gender reassignment surgery and has transitioned into a female fish.

Sad and pathetic really.
But so is their team!

I find none of them racist.

however, Lsu needs to ditch the fighting tigers racism.

You can troll better than this.

You could have at least found a picture of one of those flags that didn’t come from a meme generator.

To the topic at hand: the Ole Miss identity crisis is real. What the hell was the point of getting rid of Colonel Reb if you’re still going to call the team the “Rebels”?

And why does Ole Miss even feel the need to change when their state is still using the confederate battle flag?

That flag hasn't flown at the university since 2015

So they don't fly any state flags at the university? Or do they use a different version?

I wish we would have gone the route of a live bear enclosure/habitat near somewhere on campus.

Baylor does that.

We should drop Tony the Landshark and just get a tank of sharks in the north endzone. We can put it where the student section is since they don't come to the games anyway.

be like Jacksonville's stadium. when someone gets drunk and jumps in the tank.... the game can stop and everyone watch on the jumbotron.
