You are a bit confused. Texas A&M University has not been a branch of you cock for glock school ever. As a matter of fact the land in West Texas given as a part of the Morrill Act of 1862 had nothing to do with the liberal university of Texas. The Morrill Act (the Land Grant act) required military training which of course you don't have. In 1862 the UNITED STATES CONGRESS granted Texas 180,000 acres to establish an agriculture and mechanical college...hence we started as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas before becoming Texas A&M University in 1963 via the Texas Legislature.
The Texas Legislature has made it clear that Texas A&M University is a flagship school and has nothing to do with the Cal Berkley morons that run and have ruined your putrid school. As early as 1931 the Texas Legislature divided the interest earned from Texas oil lands between Texas and Texas A&M. The administrations of both Texas & Texas A&M were separated by the Texas Legislature in 1875. Texas A&M has never been under the direction of blue blood...BS cough, cough University of Texas. It is only a fantasy of idiots like you who are jealous of our accomplishments like more money, more students, more research dollars, better paid graduates, better athletic facilities, better student support of athletics, a more profitable athletic department by far and the fact that we are not recognized as an arrogant bunch of bloviating shites like your beloved tu!
