Dixon uttered the phrase in 2009 and that was the seed of tGrind. The 2010 Cam recruiting fiasco was the egg of tGrind. The Cam led comeback win against MSU in 2010 was the conception of tGrind. The summer of 2011, leading into a fall where MSU and AU played in week 2, was the birth of tGrind.

tGrind was born out of the Cam Newton saga of 2010. It got started the following season in 2011 but ground to a halt after losing to AU that year. It was in 2012 that it really exploded. They beat AU that year and went on a nice run.
