If you had to put together an SEC all decade team using players from the past ten seasons what would it look like? Also, I’m basing this off their college careers not NFL.

Here’s mine:
Offense
QB Cam Newton (Auburn)
TE Evan Engram (Ole Miss)
WR Julio Jones (Bama)
WR Odell Beckham Jr. (LSU)
WR Mike Evans (ATM)
RB Mark Ingram (Bama)
AP Alvin Kamara (Tennessee)
T Jake Matthews (ATM)
G Trai Turner (LSU)
C Maurkice Pouncey (Florida)
G Larry Warford (Kentucky)
T Greg Robinson (Auburn)

Defense
DE Jonathan Allen (Bama)
DT Quinnen Williams (Bama)
DT Nick Fairley (Auburn)
EDGE Von Miller (ATM)
LB Roquan Smith (UGA)
LB Devin White (LSU)
LB Dont’a Hightower (Bama)
CB Patrick Peterson (LSU)
S Minkah Fitzpatrick (Bama)
S Eric Berry (Tennessee)
CB Tyrann Mathieu (LSU)

I initially thought about Geno Atkins at DT but he really blossomed more in the pros and since I’m basing this off college, Nick Fairley was an animal. What changes do y’all think y’all would make?

I would not include Von Miller as he never took a snap as an SEC player. The DEs should probably be Garrett and Barnett.

Swap in Myles Garret for Von Miller (who never played in the SEC) and you have Aggie buyoff.

Some may argue manziel but Cam would crush in that lineup. And you could argue that Luke Joeckel > Matthews but then you get into what side of the field they're playing (meh).

I’d put Amari Cooper over Odell
And Tre Mason as All Purpose

By no means a bad list, but Amari Cooper was a Heisman finalist and if solely based on college, should be the first receiver on the team

Agree with Garrett for Von.

I personally think Joeckel was better in college.

Not sure if serious but Derek Barnett. He’s the SEC sack leader for the decade despite declaring after his junior year. Broke Reggie White’s Tennessee career sack record despite leaving early. He was a first round pick and NFL All Rookie team selection in 2018. Got hurt last year.

I also think all these teams now should include a nickel corner spot. I wouldn’t have Mathieu as a starter outside, but in the slot, more free roaming role he’s absolutely in there.

Leave my LSU bias at the door but there have been half dozen RBs between UGA and Bama better than Mark.

Also, I have issues with players who basically had a single great season, i.e. Cam. Tebow should be QB.

Yeah Kamara doesn’t really belong on a list based on college accomplishments.

He's obviously been great in the NFL but his college numbers don't really justify him being there.

I'd replace Von Miller with Jarvis Jones simply because he played on an SEC team.

A. J. Green played in '09. Should be in at WR.
