It probably wouldn't be as bad as say losing to a sunbelt team.

boards would melt down. last year should have reminded us that anything could happen...
I don't think it likely.

A total eclipse would occur, confirming our thoughts that the world is coming to an end. Cats and dogs would be mating and a giant sta-puff marshmallow man would attack NYC. Bama fans would start marrying their siblings and total social chaos would occur....
The siblings getting married might be occuring already, or so the Germans would have us believe

What would happen to the Gumps if Saban left for the Babe Ruth league?

I'm pretty sure he is a closet Bama fan. Either that or he just likes to stir shite up. I don't let my P&G glasses fog my judgement, I believe Bama could come in here and beat us. College football teams blow games every year that they should win, we are no different. That being said, I don't think it will happen and feel like Dukev saying he hopes Bama wins is bull shite. He should have to change his favorite team to Bama for that heresy.

The Duke went on a tirade against me on this same subject. I gave everyone a hundred reasons why Bama gets blown out in Tiger Stadium. He chose to post personal insults rather than discuss the major mismatches in the game.
------------------------------------------
As I have stated several times before, LSU would need to literally hand the game over to Bama to lose. And like I stated last year, LSU may lay 50 on Bama. People laughed then, but LSU had two drives thwarted by poor Flynn passes (and a third not on a drive)- had a FG blocked-- and still scored 41 on Bama last year. Had not that silly personal foul been called on Jackson, the game may have ended up a complete blowout.
The whole reason LSU won the game was because they were able to do just about whatever they wanted.
Now, onto 2009. LSU loses playmakers. Bama loses playmakers. LSU has many more playmakers. Bama
loses the players that did match up favorably to LSU. So LSU lost less than Bama did when it comes to matchups. Crowton knows what to expect this time. Saban still can;t run the ball against LSU (or Clemson, UGA, UT, or Auburn for that matter)
The TOTAL talent and NEEDED experience is simply not there for Bama. Against LSU-- They won't be able to run the ball (like last year), they won't be able to stop us (they didn't last year) and they won't have "a rookie QB lining up against them as they think (with experience against three better teams and eight total before we play).
And oh, yes, Tiger Stadium is now where Bama loses, and loses quite often these days. This is not the Tiger Stadium of 1997, or 1977. We are the national champs. Bama is the pup.
It's possible that Bama could win, like Colorado
State did one year.
Nothing is certain...
but...
It's more likely a Virginia Tech style game(48-7) all over again, except Miles may try score a couple more times.
It's about the matchups.
Bama can't match up.
The bigger story is how will Bama fans react when LSU lays half a hundred on them.
And that is in fact a realistic opinion...
no personal insults attached, Duke. .

Yeah, it's going to come down to how many "just wait until X " and we rule you guys.
Or "Les is lucky, blah blah blah" That's what's going to be said when the game has been played.

Not so, if that were to happen this place would be infested with Bama fans beyond belief. And I'm talking the typical ignorant Bama fan, not the decent ones that can carry on football conversation. Sugatown, u ever take any of those wagers that were being offered up saturday in that other thread?

Dear God,
Please make it stop.
I have never asked for anything before,I quit smoking, stopped kicking the dog when nobody was looking and have cut my porn intake by 96.4 %.
I am not requesting that you bring down your angry vengeance upon all Bama fans, only that you SMITE individual fans with an Angry Wall of Fire every time they start a "what if" and "back in the glory days" thread on my beloved Tigerdroppings.com.
If you will consider this request, I will consider bringing the three Pimpettes, --Angry, Befuddled and Disgruntled- - to Sunday School on a more regular basis.
-Your humble servant, Pimp

What would happen to Alabama fans and Alabama forums if you go 6-6 again ?

It would not be fun.
BT4 (The Master Debater), what took you so long to get on this thread? I was expecting you long before now. You been on vacation? By the way, about your "Rookie" qb that won't be, you realize our "Rookie" receivers won't be either right?
I agree that if the "miracle" happens, unfortunately this board will be overrun with "Stupid idiot gumps" instead of just "idiot" gumps like myself. Contrary to popular belief, we are not all like that and most of those types even get on our nerves and embarrass us too.
About the 48-7 or worse Blood bath being predicted, anyone on this board tell me when was the last time Bama was beaten this badly...I don't want to hear any of the "It could of been worse but we pulled the dogs off" crap either. IF it could have been it should have been. In recent memory, the worst defeat Bama has had was the Iron Bowl '05 and even then the score wasn't that bad(I might let this one slide for the could have been speech. It was brutal.). I will go ahead and tell you, you will only find a handful that have been that bad over the last 25 years. If it happens in Death Valley this year, BT4 I hold you personally responsible to save this post so that I can come in, eat crow, congratulate you and bow to the present superiority of the LSU Tigers.
Bama-LSU is a great rivalry game that have been some of the best, most exciting games in the SEC in recent years. Like it or not, Bama has one of the best O-Lines in the conference this year, and one of the most underrated D-lines in the conference this year. By the time this game rolls around, the D-Line will have seen rb's at least on par with LSU's tandem of backs (Clemson, UGA, UT come to mind). The defense in general will have seen MUCH more experienced qb's (Clemson, UGA) as well. The Offense will have played top defenses as well. This game WILL NOT be a one sided blood bath. I expect a close, exciting battle that will be won late. I can't wait. RTR
