I thought it was a great hire. I thought it would be a short term fix and he would find a HC gig somewhere, but I thought LSU had hit a home run. It still might be when it is all said and done. Due to covid he hasn't had a great chance to get to know his players, and with the opt outs he has been hamstrung.

Bo should look in to becoming a used car salesmen.

Coaching football doesn’t seem to be working out.

Pelini is a reasonable hire. It will work out. In 2019. Ole miss. Florida Bama and Vandy torched our defense... what exactly has changed other than breaking in 19 new starters.

Didn’t even know Aranda had left until people started bitching about Pelini this season.

You seriously overestimate how many people care about LSU. No one gives a shite.

Name recognition hire.

He will turn out to be O's Brian Van Gorder. Pelini should grow a mustache.

As a Missouri fan with a front row seat to his incompetence as a head coach, I presumed your AD and Ed had been blackmailed some how. The Nebraska “Black shirts” were dead already, but he kept trying to market them as back and proceeded to get roasted. I love that man...as an opposing teams coordinator.

In short, the dude could NOT figure out the bubble screen. Mizzou, kansas, Tech and similar spread it out offenses had little problem moving the ball on him.

Thought that he didn't handle being a head coach and DC at the same time and that he would be good as just DC with the amount of talent that we have.

This is kinda how I thought about it myself. That maybe he'd come back and be a MUCH better DC than he was HC, and I couldn't understand why certain LSU fans were freaking out.

In reality, LSU always has such great defensive talent that I assumed just about any average DC could come in and look pretty great. You hear that it's all about the "Jimmies and Joes" all the time.

It's kinda shocking just how disheveled and uninspired the LSU defense has appeared this season so far. I think it has everything to do with coaching and players not buying in or responding well to Pelini's coaching style. They simply don't want to/care to play hard for the man, he doesn't inspire them.

It needs to be rectified quickly before the cancer spreads to the entire team and program, then O takes the fall for it. The fall from grace has been enjoyable for an outside "rival" fan like myself, but it's also astonishing to see.
