The one where he fired Kiffin over some petty shite and lost an NC.

2010 auburn game was Saban worst lost ever for me..................Saban biggest weakness always will be his lack of offensive understanding and talent management of the offensive minds that he had. And Milroe is proof that Bama is still paying for that weakness.

2018 Clemson still makes no sense. But 2016 is the worst for me. We absolutely outlcassed them everywhere except for wr and qb. But because jalen was so young and couldn't really play qb yet we allowed them to scratch out a win. Should've beat them by 30 plus if we're honest

That Saban guy was a bum. Didn’t understand football or how to manage a team.

44-16

Sark sucked as the OC, but he got a free pass since Kiffin got fired the same week. Personally, I find it hard to believe Kiffin would have gotten shut out the entire 2nd half and it just highlighted his immaturity and failure to keep his commitments.

Savion Smith was getting toasted so bad he had to fake an injury to avoid further embarrassment. After he left, Clemson didn't score again, however at the same time they didn't need to either and were basically in cruise control at that point.

I'm not sure I would call ignoring your duties because you are too busy recruiting and doing things for the team you were hired by petty.

Kirby was able to manage his duties just fine when he was put in the same situation. Pruitt as well IIRC.

All bro had to do was show up at practice and and calls some plays during the game. What else was Saban trying to get him to do?

I still have nightmares of cam Newton running around Bryant denny with his hand over his mouth laughing at the Bama fans....taking his foot off the gas in the 2nd half was the absolute biggest mistake of the Saban era!

Nope. In hindsight , that was a valuable loss that gave
a measuring stick of how far and how quickly Bama/Saban
needed to grow. It helped produce a perfect regular season
record the following year.
In my mind the worst loss was to Michigan in OT in the playoff ,
both in the way we lost , low snap , timing off and Milroe's futile charge up the middle , still burns ---- It meant Saban's last game , losing
a good chance at winning the NC.
Win or lose, Saban was going to retire and what a way that
could have been to go out.

This was an underrated loss I believe as well. But, the scope of the horror of this loss was only confined to 2010.

LSU completely lit them up passing on the 2nd half with garbage at QB after doing absolutely nothing on offense in the first half. It was a weird game.

Saban was so incompetent, Alabama’s offense always sucked. Here is how bad he was his last 10 years at Alabama.

Alabama’s average points scored, rank, rank among power teams.

2014: 36.9, 16th, 10th
2015: 35.1, 30th, 16th
2016: 38.8, 15th, 9th
2017: 37.3, 15th, 9th
2018: 45.6, 3rd, 3rd
2019: 47.2, 2nd, 2nd
2020: 48.5, 2nd, 1st
2021: 39.9, 6th, 3rd
2022: 41.1, 4th, 4th
2023: 34.0, 24th, 18th

In the past 10 years of his career after he had realized you had to be able to outscore teams he never averaged less than 34 points and never finished outside the top 30 in points scored. Eight of ten seasons he finished in the top ten of power programs. He was top 5 in 5 of his last 6 seasons. Just imagine how much better Alabama would have been with a coach who understood offense.

If anything, Saban’s change in philosophy and focus on offense hurt the defense.

From someone who doesn't understand football (not saying you necessarily), I could understand that line of thinking.

It's silly to see the highlight still shown though. Difficult to see the relevance to current college football seasons.

I guess that's what happens when some fanbases only have highlights against their more successful in-state opponent to look back on.

Alabama can only beat Alabama so it must have been when they beat themselves.
