we had back to back titles recently though. in 2014 we were trying to turn into a new offensive team with Blake sims and were coming off the 2013 disaster so many felt the dominance ended with that loss to OSU (even though it didnt) and we could have won back to back again. crazy to think if not for the OSU debacle and kick 6 could have won......5 in a row.....

I met Cardale Jones back in the fall in Vegas. Super nice guy, told him I was not a fan of what he did to us. He said you got us back a few years ago. He is one big arse dude.
Oddly I met Jordan Jefferson in the Denver Airport around 2015 or so. Big dude as well (I forgot he was 6'6"). Totally cool guy. He straight up told me that '11NC offensive shite-fest was on the coaches. He said they had better plays they could have run but just didn't call those. I believe him.

Loooooooooooooooooooost 14–21 in front of 92,138!!
And since that game Alabama is an incredible 111-6 in Bryant-Denny Stadium. They've only lost three games in Tuscaloosa in the last decade.

I'd believe him as well, but I'm not sure he could have executed the plays. I would NOT tell him that personally though.

Maybe not but Bobby Hebert was right ... they needed to do something.
Players are more than happy to give it their best even if they end up getting crushed.
LSU fans at that time were pissed that Miles had nothing to offer. I don't blame them.

Sadly for him, his best pass

Disagree, 14 years later Auburn's still collecting dividends for their only national title since Ole Miss won theirs.

Should have asked him what an audible was.

Yeah, just rolling with the same game plan, which you BARELY won with the 1st time, was never going to work.
If Bama didn't miss 13 FG's the 1st game, the great melting point in LSU history never happens. They won the game, but I think most people should be able to see that it was incredibly fortunate for them to do so.

If I was a Bama fan, the worst loss would’ve been the Camback.
Mark Barron had a detached chest and shoulder muscle in the 2nd half. Else I think we may have squeaked by in that game.
Ingram fumbling though the endzone. Almost unforgivable. He rarely fumbled but when he did we either lost or almost lost games (UT in 09, LSU in 08, this game and one other one).
It didn't help that we thought we'd already won the game at the half.

Tbh, LSU was lucky as hell to win 11/5/11. We played in that game like LSU played in the NC game.

Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS

I was told that you're never allowed to use injuries as an excuse for losing a title game, and instead, just admit you lost to the much better team and that the injured players would have had no impact on the outcome.
TYIA!

This is my number one and thought Saban had to be an idiot to give up a lead that big and lose. But the worst loss is vs Clemson in NC game. Bama was completely dominated from first to last whistle. It was the worst coaching job I’d ever seen from CNS.

Looking back ten years or so now, was he really wrong?

The worst loss was losing Saban.
