Hate to tell you this, but Tennessee, like Penn State and Notre Dame, will never achieve their past glory. You'll be good again, but it's downhill from here. Sorry.

Yeah, and we can't recruit well either

An average sports school. We're not great at any but keep our heads above water. Hell, we're the only SEC school to make the postseason in all three sports last season.

I find it humorous Alabama have cuddled up to Tennessee being a good football school and their only comparison is to Auburn...who hasn't lost to Tennessee since Clinton got an oval office blowjob...
Have you bent them over so many times that you're actually in love with them now??

All sports meaning a greater diversity of sports?
UF has won NCAA championships in 12 sports. And are vying for championships in most of the sports every year...except women's basketball.
ETA: Plus the thread is about perception. You guys don't compete in boxing anymore and that basketball championship was from 1935. Your 2006 Final Four is a better testament to LSU basketball than that.

Criteria was not "currently" there Ace. Historically Tennessee is much more a football school than auburn. By that list Auburn is a swimming school
