I don;t like the guy, and I hope his NFL career fails miserably, but when did he slam his teammates or refuse to take responsibility? Am I missing something? Or is this all about him yelling at Barrett Jones?
He blamed underclassmen for the OU loss and basically called them entitled - not once but twice. Personally, I don't have anything against AJ (I never followed him closely) but I don't like what I've seen the last few months. The Barrett thing I just wrote off to far too much emotion during the game between the guys even though it was shocking to me, especially since they were winning.

I don't like McElroy. Personally, I think he's smug social climber.
But one thing you can say about McEloy: After his heartbreaking loss to Auburn, he at least went out and tore Michigan State's arse up.
I get the feeling that McCarron went home and spent the entire month of December pouting over his loss.

The fact that he was so quick to place the blame on others both times kinda indicates that he may well of been pouting, imo. For example, Tyler Bray was widely reported to have said he "didn't want to go to shitty bowl" and proceeded to play pathetic against UK and lose to them snapping a 26 year long win streak despite the fact that it was a Joker Phillips led team that was starting WR as QB due to injuries. But at least Tyler was an underclassman himself (not that he ever matured at UT).
AJ needs to understand that as a QB he's responsible for his teammates. He's supposed to lead and work against the attitude he suggested they had - all QBs have that responsibility but senior QBs even more. Even if the underclassmen sold out completely and there was nothing he could reasonably do he should've kept his mouth shut, especially months after the game when the anger/moment was well in the rear-view mirror.

Brodie Croyle got taken in the 3rd round. I honestly thought that McCarron had a good shot at the 3rd this year.
But his Ryan Leaf-like character flaws have me doubting if he gets taken higher than the 6th.

I don't know about AJ but I fully believe that the sole reason Tyler Bray went undrafted only to be immediately snatched up and signed to FA contract was because teams thought he needed to be taken down a notch to even have a chance of maturing. A lot of teams kept saying they were interested, his pre-draft college assessment by the NFL said 4th rd, and on draft day several teams kept calling throughout the rounds saying they were interested but I really believe that was an effort to get him as a FA and no one intended on drafting him. He was offered FA within minutes of the draft finishing. It was shocking given his raw talent that no one picked him late but teams are less likely to take chances on QBs and even less so the past few years. Low character marks and a rep for immaturity are a killer.
Still, on the one hand I'd be shocked if AJ went so low even though on the other hand it wouldn't surprise me. I suppose it all depends on how teams really view his character and they spend a helluva lot more time researching/analyzing character and have more access to information than any of us do.

Tyler Bray had so much talent. It's a shame he didn't focus it. His circumstances at Tennessee were miserable, but if he'd shown even a little bit of maturity, he'd have been a top pick in last year's draft.

Absolutely. I think teams would've even overlooked his lack of film study and deficits reading defenses (that can be learned/taught and Dooley simply could not coach or deal with any of our stars - if they were good guys they behaved but if they had character issues they ran wild with ZERO intervention/help and a decent coach would've been able to rein in at least some of them) if he'd shown an ounce of maturity.

Ken Dorsey 2.0 just wants to keep reality at bay for a little longer guys, his life has been going down hill since the Hobbit made the refs put a scone back on the clock.

I do not know what the fuss is about.
aj is a guy that only won ONE Southeastern Conference Championship and had a record of 2-2 against Auburn.
Can we limit threads to guys that are considered successful?

He gets under your skin, but you aren't alone. Other than that he is a multi -championship QB about to be drafted into the NFL. Sad life.

He's afraid of being called a "bust" on the SECRant, so he's lowering his draft position.
Bama folks are sensitive, I wish you people could understand that.

Just because you measure the value of your lives by your performance against Alabama doesn't mean the opposite is true.
