I think all successful programs cheat.

Some just get away with it.
Fans are happy winning at all costs.

what it taught was :

wash the money through a "charity"

and then "deny, deny, deny".

Auburn was looked at and investigated as thoroughly as anyone in the history of the NCAA in relationship to Cam. They found nothing and even complimented AU for it's compliance.

And then the NCAA adopted The Cecil Newton Rule which closed the loophole that a parent could solicit pay for play for a son/daughter.

and all of that was done at State by a former State player. They never had Cecil on tape. They did have Kenny Rogers on tape. None of the evidence ever had a damn thing to do with Auburn.

Yeah big bad whitey had a 400 year head start on tipping the scales in his favor.

Whitey is 400 years - 1.

ANYWAY, Wade is an idiot for talking on the phone about paying a recruit. Any coach the does should be suspended for stupidity alone.

Missed where Rogers was the parent of Cam.

Realistically, you guys should own it. You taught a nifty trick to Clempsom who is expanded on the whole charity fronting of the funnel. So ultimately, you guys can take credit for 44-16.

If you think Cecil Newton solicited $180,000 from Mississippi State, but not Auburn, you are a very naive man.

According to facts of the case agreed upon by Auburn University and the NCAA enforcement staff, the student-athlete’s father and an owner of a scouting service worked together to actively market the student-athlete as a part of a pay-for-play scenario in return for Newton’s commitment to attend college and play football. NCAA rules (Bylaw 12.3.3) do not allow individuals or entities to represent a prospective student-athlete for compensation to a school for an athletic scholarship.

In conjunction with the case, Auburn University has limited the access Newton’s father has to the athletics program and Mississippi State has disassociated the involved individual.

So let it be written: Auburn can claim 2 NCs thanks to Cam.

You read too much internet BS. The FEDS investigated it. They know what they are doing. BTW, UGA recruited him and Richt said nobody asked them for money. Is Richt lying?

from your link.......

quote:

“The conduct of Cam Newton’s father and the involved individual is unacceptable and has no place in the SEC or in intercollegiate athletics,” said Mike Slive, Southeastern Conference Commissioner. “The actions taken by Auburn University and Mississippi State University make it clear this behavior will not be tolerated in the SEC.”

You ignored that, right?

Just look at the timeline DA. If Cam had signed with MSU he would have been ineligible in October, since he signed with AU he got to play. There is a reason so many dumbasses fail to understand.

It's the same people spewing the same BS. Sometimes the FEDS know what they are doing. Other times they don't. It all depends on what kind of shite people want to spew.

What did that have to do with Auburn University?

Remember, Richt wanted him at UGA. Tenn. wanted him. Okl. wanted him. Every one of those schools HC's came out and said that nobody asked them for money.

what is dumb is for anybody to truly believe that Cecil Newton shopped his son to Mississippi State and then just decided he could play at Auburn for free.

Newton's coach at Florida was Dan Mullen. Later, Cam Newton's comments to Dan Mullen's wife as for why his Dad chose Auburn instead...“the money was too much.”

It's mind boggling how willfully ignorant people choose to be on the Cam saga. Did he get paid? Nobody knows. Did MSU solicit a pay for play scheme that his dad listened to? Yes. Was that a violation of NCAA policy? No, not really based on the rules at the time. Did Auburn do everything by the book via its compliance department? Yes. They have a letter to prove it.

Cam is a gift that will never stop giving.

The LSU coach is an idiot for not using a middleman and even dumber for talking on a phone.

These Cam rumors, if you repeat them enough, they are bound to be true in a bammers heart...

If you Auburn fans claim enough times that Cecil Newton shopped his son to Miss State but let him play for free at Auburn, then you might convince somebody of it.

nahhhh. Not even you guys are stupid and naive enough to truly believe it.
