Tennessee probably has a large number of non-alum fans and probably second to Bama but that don't make em pathetic you loser.

Folks aren't pathetic simply because they did or did not attend a certain University. Pathetic could easily describe lots of Alumnus depending on their character as a person but some folks (like you) just don't get it. Your post and opinion is what is pathetic.

Tennessee. Easily imo.
Sure.
Still in the top five for attendance and we have had the worst decade in our program's history.

Whatever team is doing well is going to have a large number of sidewalk fans. So right now, I would say Bama and LSU would have the most

and nothing wrong with that a-hole. I assume that all people without a college education are pathetic people. If you believe that then I don't know what else to say.

Texas...though the pathetic failure that is the LHN is making me think twice.
hell, just about everything about tejas is pathetic. but my yardman loves them! as far as the LHN goes, i'm gonna be really pissed when my cable co. makes me carry it just to get channels i like. i will seriously consider cancelling that package and i will guarantee that no TV in my house will ever be tuned to it if i can't. lastly, my hate has come about only since i've lived here (6 yrs). i was not prejudiced before but have learned to hate via actual social intercourse with numerous fans. ag's are ok tho.

LSU. The entire state pulls for them.
Not sure why that = sidewalk fans.
Not saying we don't have plenty bc we certainly do

Lsu
Based purely off their success, the whole state views them as a popular brand, so to speak. Things start going down hill and all of the sidewalk fans will disappear.
I know several people who just suddenly became tiger fans over the last decade. But yet, they "could care less" about tiger basketball, except for the 2006 season.
Funny how that works.

Clearly their are some people posting in this thread that are more than insecure about not going to the school they pull for. I didn't mean that makes you pathetic. I was talking about the dumb redneck fans that go way overboard about their team and embarrass the rest of the fan base and alums.
Just think Finebaum callers, Walmarks jersey wearers and the like. So pull out your tampons and chill folks.

If you did not meant that then why post those exact words? If you mean sidewalk fans embarrassing their team of choice then Bama #1 in a landslide with Texas fans probably #2.

I hope you realize that Updyke isn't a sidewalk fan. Anyone that has grown up or been around brainwashed kids and their parents in this state would have a really hard time thinking that there could actually be a worse fake fan program.

Florida without a doubt. Like the one UT poster iterated, in the eighties, they were UM fans. In the nineties, they were FSU fans, and in the 2000s, they have been UF fans. I've lived amongst them for a long time and know first hand. I have some very close friends who are UF grads and would take offense at this, but I'm referring to the sidewalkers who couldn't find any of the three Universities if given a map.

At what point is it acceptable to go to school at somewhere other than the home state school you grew loving and supporting?
I think it's perfectly fine to leave state if you have an opportunity to go to an Ivy League school or some other prestigious university while remaining a big fan of your home state school. There are times where your home state school doesn't offer degrees in something like Aerospace Engineering or you have the chance to go to Harvard Law or John Hopkins medical school.
But I don't believe it's ever acceptable to pass up your home state school that you grew up supporting to go to a rival/same level in conference school. Such as growing up in Baton Rouge and deciding to go to Alabama even though you're an LSU fan.

Nothing at all wrong with that, but I seriously doubt many on here meet that description.
