I think most are still in stage one. Shock and denial.

None here in the least. Most knew this would happen, I am 100% confident in Coach O to put the pieces back.

Grief? They are celebrating OBJ this week. He’s all they have to try to diminish what LSU accomplished this year.

None of the SEC saw that arse whoopin coming. Not only did we kick arse all year, they played the Greatest College Football Team of all time and the greatest player in College football history.

No grieving here.

I've always been a closeted, passive LSU fan, and they're the only school that I passively pull for when they're not playing State. From the earliest days of my childhood when I was most impressionable, I always associated the LSU game with a loss. I always liked their brand and their colors, and even though the state is as big of a shithole as Mississippi, it is more the fault of the politicians, geography, and historical events than of the folks who are Louisiana- just like Mississippi.

They're good folks. Trashy, but good- just like my fellow Mississippians and myself.

That said, alot of the online LSU fans make it hard to pull for the Tigers at times because they simply cannot handle success in a responsible manner.

Luckily the majority are not like the forum dwellers, and also- and you can check my post history on this- Coach O and the ending to his story is one I've been pulling for since the hiring of him was made. I don't hang my star on any man or woman, but as far as admiration goes, right now, he is top 5 for me.

To me it seems this part of the narrative about the 2019-2020 LSU Tiger FB season has not been admonished to the degree that I think it should, and even though in time it will, it's a short-term travesty nonetheless: That a native son who was the underdog of underdogs, even reviled at first, not only took his team to a national title game and won it, but also did it in the fashion that we saw.

That is an incredible feat, and knowing his story, I couldn't be happier for the man. He deserves it as much as anybody, and lucky for Louisiana, they're along for the ride.
