UNC helped out Ole Miss today by beating Maryland. The C-USA final also put Southern Miss on the bubble, allowing Ole Miss to climb.

When you have the 5th best record in the SEC, you are ranked 5th. It's not a hard concept.
You are welcome to blame the schedule, the weather, the SEC offices, or Harry Truman's haircut if you want. The FACT is that you are the 5th ranked team in the SEC.

Likely dancing when someone above us in conference isn't. [insert nana]

To fricking Kent State. Who in the frick is Kent State? I didn't think that school existed anymore after Neil Young wrote about the school.

Or, stated another way: "Slides into the NCAA as the 5th place SEC team..."

Mizzou didn't get to play Auburn and Mississippi State twice like Bama did.

You keep posting the same garbage in every single, solitary thread on the tournament as if it's part of an inspired Platonic dialogue.
I'll ask again, what are your best wins?

Is the opinion of the SEC fans that Mizzou is now shite for likely sliding into the tournament that selects the best teams in the country?
You guys need to check the SEC Rant handbook, fairly sure what you're doing is counterintuitive.
We'll try not to embarrass the league, try to be on our side.

I'll take 5th in the conference, and a bid to the dance every year.
When you start start playing a legitimate Non-Conference schedule, maybe you'll get there too.
Your best non-con win should not be a middle of the pack Villanova team.
That shite'll fly in football, but basketball it's a definite no-no.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the SEC needs someone other than Florida to make it. We don't need to drop to perennial one bid league Conference USA level.
And I understand the process. It's just sort of strange that the 6th seed in the league is a lock where the 2, 3,4, and 5 team is sweating it out and in most cases won't even get a bid.
In a normal SEC, all of these teams would get a bid, and we'd be discussing whether the league should get 7 or 8 teams in.
in any case, do try to not embarrass the league in 2013.

Tennessee was 2nd in the SEC last year and didn't make it.
It's called an unbalanced conference schedule.
And the difference between 6th and 2nd in the league was 1 game. Given that, it's easy to see that when a team's best win is Villanova while the team who played a tougher in-conference and out-of-conference schedule lost 1 more game, it's not really that hard to digest. You'll keep on keeping on, I'm sure.
