What other coaches have gone from penthouse to outhouse as quickly as O?

I know Chiz is mentioned often, and rightfully so.

Bama fans, is this similar to how it felt under Dubose, or even Shula? I feel like anybody would have canned Shula knowing they could get Saban. DuBose is a bit different in that regard. Reset button was hit after Stallings left, Dubose gets the team within a good kicker of going 11-2 with an Orange Bowl win, and then the bottom falls out against…UCLA in the opener.

Was Jim Donnan viewed as a savior in Athens after his second year? Seems like the Dawgs were primed to take over the East, but they couldn’t get over the Tennessee/Florida hump, then started losing to Georgia Tech to top it off.

Having trouble thinking of coaches other than Gene and Ed in the conference that have experienced the highest of highs and were given up on so quickly.

LSU doesn’t have the money to fire O.

I love him but to answer the OP honestly... Jimbo?

I remember seeing FSU fans booing him and calling for a change his last year there.

I think the baggage CEO carries, and his media presence, amplifies the negativity towards him. Saying things like “The defense is better than last year” for 2020, and promising g things were fixed going in to 2021 make him look like he doesn’t know what’s going on.

Dubose had his issues and it added to his inability to have credibility with his players.

Chi’s was likeable and knowledgeable, just could t get it together after the Cam season.

I think Dubose is eerily similar. He didn't win a NC, but he was riding high coming off the 1999 SEC championship.

Both liked to get some strange.

Both went to the Rose Bowl first game of the season as the higher ranked team to play UCLA. Both lost by exactly 11 points.

We'll see if the parallels continue.

Yeah this board is calling LSU fans fickle while also knowing we are fricked if we don’t cut the head off of the situation

It was a pretty awesome run going 25-3 in 18 and 19 but since the day after the natty we have been a dumpster fire

I know it’s not the SEC, but I think Jim Harbaugh would fit the bill. Came in as the savior of Michigan Football, got off to a pretty good start in his first couple of years, but results haven’t matched the expectations and has now pretty much lost the fanbase
