Sure I would hope Bama would win it, but I'd never bet any serious money on a coinflip, and that's what a rematch would be regardless of what you think. IOW, I'm not a dumbass.

Ok I shouldn't have said rule! Happy? Still doesn't change the fact you never see same conference bowl games for 50'years

lulz at you thinking it would actually be close again and a coin flip would decide the outcome

So it's not about wins but the best loss?

Not quite that black and white... but you can't simply toss out and dismiss the losses you don't like? A system containing more than a few variables?? Iowa State is definitely among them.

You keep bringing that up. I think you have posted it at least once or twice in this thread. So they lost to Iowa State. So what? How many more wins against ranked opponents did they have over Bama? Are those to be tossed out?

Like someone said. Bama's best win was their lost to LSU. If you go, great. Look forward to beating you twice this year. If you don't go, great. You didn't deserve it to begin with. Either way, it's a win win for LSU

If OK State doesn't get the votes they need to pass bama and you seriously don't think that loss has anthing to do with it, then i'm not sure how to explain this. I think many voter's will be choking on a loss to a 4 td underdog that has 6 (count them, 6) losses. Trust me if their loss hadn't been this bad, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

No. I understand the loss is bad, but you don't bring up the wins over ranked opponents, in which OSU is above Bammer. Why would those not cancel out? And while I know it is up the the BCS, all those polls posted earlier showing the entire US except for some backwards state wants to see OSU and LSU say different. I know it doesn't matter. Just admit OSU is a better team and move on. You will feel better about yourself. I promise.

meh.. i concede

To discount bama has a valid argument for the second best team isn't being overly honest with yourself either. OK State obviously also has a case and it will probably come down to the wire on which case is stronger. Having said that, surely you don't think this should be settled based on the popularity poll you are referring to ??

It ill be worse when they get spanked on 1/9/12. Rember when we beat OU in the 03 game. Everyone dogpiled OU saying they didn't belong and it should have been LSU vs. USC

I know both have a valid argument, but no one wants to see a rematch except your state.

I want LSU to beat someone new. Not another has-been Saban team we have beat once already. I know it's not up to me or all of America (who agree) but up to computers and nerds that write algorithms.

Who cares! The BCS would have done what it was designed to do, put the two best teams in the championship game. LSU fans are just pissed because they wanted a cake walk game to win the BCSNCG and instead get to play us again.

Honestly, I think the next time there this type situation, the voters will look to stick to the SEC. Given our history, it will probably be AU that it happens to.

You serious Clark?

Apparently we beat the #1 defense in Tuscaloosa at home. Would it matter if OSU was #2 in defense or #50?
