Honestly, that was the last game we lost where I really feel like we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot a ton and the other team outplayed us. Y'all were ready to play and we weren't.
For the LSU game in 2010, there was some unbelievably busted coverages, and Auburn 2010 was a meltdown. I will say the same for LSU 2011.

Not necessarily having to play them twice, but horrible playcalling and Alabama made great plays the whole game. They showed up, though, and played a better game.
So I guess option "They played a great game on all ends."
P.S. I'd love it if I'd get re-instated to one of the Alabama forums I was banned from. I lived in Birmingham for my whole life and was banned solely because I was an LSU student studying geology and didn't spam or troll once..talk about juvenile.

I've always been a firm believer in " you are what your record say you are" and if the other team scored more points that means they did what was necessary and LSU didn't. I can tell what I've seen frequently in reverse order for UA though:
2011 fluke

2008 Coach Saban didn't have all his players, not motivated
