But to those of us die hard fans, listening to him frick up the names all the time makes for some good comedy,it adds to the game imo.

I agree. It's hilarious. I find myself paying extra attention to him waiting for his next frick up.

It takes the crowds out of the game. I know it has to annoy the shite out of the players. The only way I can see it benefiting the players is late in the game when they need a break.

I wonder how many times a well placed commercial time out has impacted the outcome of a game.

When ESPN gets behind schedule they at least try to speed up the game. A CBS game can be in its 4th hour and they still stop the game for unending commercial breaks. I hate to say it but when a player gets hurt we are begging him to get up quickly so the red hat bastard doesn't use this as an opportunity to stop play for another 5 minutes.

That's actually a good point. I don't know if it ever actually has, but I can see how it definitely could.

Probably more than our faking injuries. Though I don't think we've done much faking this year. We are too busy with real injuries.

I want to run on the field and kidnap him and tie him up every game. Either that or snipe his arse from the stands.

I sometimes worry he'll have learned his lesson and stop messing up... but it never happens. He never lets me down.

I also love how he just rolls with it. He doesn't apologize or get self conscious. Even my mom can correct him. She doesn't know half of the rules and she knows he's made a mistake.

Gary is one of the best color guys in the biz. Verne is a trainwreck.

Nope. You can always count on it. I think people should stop getting so pissy about it and just roll with it and laugh.

Probably the same people who get really mad at Verne get really mad at me when I drive and accidentally cut them off and have to smile and wave that I'm sorry. Most people acknowledge that it was a mistake, but some people keep staring you down like they want to kill you.

Vernes dyslexia and terrible reading skills in general are comical to me. Orlando McCain was the best bama linebacker that didn't exist

Verne has lost it (just like Corso) but Danielson makes some valid points every now & then.

This week we have Musburger and Herbie and I would take the CBS crew over them any day of the week!

I enjoy CBS broadcasts. Can't stand the really overly professional style of announcing like the guys on FOX do. I do wish they'd shorten commercials though.
