that would be lowering out standards.

we prefer a rivalry with a team that elevates us towards larger goals.

for the most part, beating Arkie is like beating Ole Miss.

For him (and he is much more important than me in this discussion), this is huge.

To me, it is just another W with the goal in mind of getting to NOLA.

Arkansas has really taken quite a few games since Matt jones' hail Mary, so they are not like beating ole miss

Don't try to cite it for anything you turn in.

I consider a true rivalry to be one where that particular fan base hates you like nobody else. At LSU, we take pride in the fact that everyone hates us equally and intensely.

4 games in a row decided by a total of what - 15 points? You'd think the rivalry is growing but LSU fans like to pretend their a bunch of snobs even though they smell like corndogs.

all SEC games are rivalries as far as im concerned. Obviously not all rise to the level of barners vs. bamers.

Why would either fan-base reject it?

It would be like starting a rivalry with Florida in the mid 90s, new money, no real tradition, not sure if it will be sustainable at this point, etc.

LSU is new to big boy football, they could easily fall back to a aTm or OM level and no one wants a rival with a team that is far inferior to you.
