We Ole Miss fans are happy with our situation with Lane regarding a potential second consecutive 10 win season.
How you doing at AU?

Nobody has forgotten dumb arse. He did great at FAU. He was average at USC due to recruiting sanctions and was doing well at Tennessee in his only year there. I don't care what he did with the Raiders since the NFL is totally different game than college.

Hoping OM pays Lane enough to stay put. Auburn expects more than just hoping for 10 wins and losing to the top teams every year and saying almost all the time.

You have vandy as a cross division game and barely beat them. It still took Auburn and A&M tanking to keep yall with only 2 losses and they both still almost beat yall. Yall want to talk about almost and close, yall are almost a 5 loss team too.

Ole Miss frankly could care less about your opinion(s).
We're happy with our program and in what direction it's going.
College football is a game and entertains us for part of the year, win or lose.

You're a dumb arse too. Why are you comparing Ole Miss' ceiling to Auburn's? Only an idiot would do that.

He's obviously inspired by the Tuberville career path.
Oxford->Auburn->DC.

He had talent at USC and still had the same problems. He can't handle big games and isn't going to have defense at Auburn with his offense. He may manage to win a few more game with Auburn talent but he is going to start making dumb calls in the big games. He's at best another Gus at Auburn.

USC's talent on a bad year is light-years ahead of OM on a good year. Just because you change his talent level doesn't mean they can make up for his dumb play calling in big games.

This is happening a bunch during the coaching search... drives me insane. People can't realize how tough it is for OM to beat Bama/Georgia with vastly inferior talent.

Candidate's name comes up... coached at [OM/Liberty/Other Lower Tier School]...
"But he usually loses to Alabama/Georgia/Ohio State... we can't hire him!"

Well who does that leave us then? Saban? Kirby? Dabo? Where are all of these coaches that consistently beat top 2-3 teams while at historically unranked schools?

Texas A&M hired a NC winner how did that work out?

The 2012 USC Trojans football team represented the University of Southern California in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS college football season. The Trojans were led by third-year head coach Lane Kiffin, played their home games at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and were members of the South Division of the Pac-12 Conference. USC returned 18 starters and 13 All-Conference performers from a team that finished the 2011 season ranked No. 6 in the AP Poll with a 10–2 record overall, and finished first in the South Division with a 7–2 record in Pac-12 play. However, as part of a two-year-post-season ban mandated by the NCAA, the Trojans could not claim the 2011 Pac-12 South Division title, participate in the conference championship game or play in a bowl game. The 2012 season was the first year under Kiffin that the Trojans were eligible for post-season play. They started the season ranked #1 in the AP Poll, but finished unranked—the first team to do so since the 1964 Ole Miss Rebels[1] and the first to do so in the BCS-era. The Trojans finished the season 7–6, 5–4 in Pac-12 play, tied for second in the Pac-12 South Division. They were invited to the Sun Bowl where they were defeated 21–7 by Georgia Tech.

It was stupid to rank them that high. They were in the 3rd year of a 30 scholarship reduction. They were only allowed to have 75 scholarship players. They couldn't afford to have injuries. That's why they lost 5 of their last 6 games of the season. They were dominating teams in the first half and got outscored by a wide margin in the 3rd quarter.
