I'm impressed. Only one really dumb butthurt Barner in this thread boo hooing.

Barners are making rooting for the SEC challenging.

GO DUCKS!

He has zero SEC titles and zero national titles without Tim Tebow. His offense in 2005 and 2010 was not very effective without Tim Tebow

Subtract Tebow and add Mullen and I think you have a more accurate depiction of the situation. Mullen is the architect of Meyer's SEC offense, not CUM. They tried to use the Utah offense initially in 2005, but quickly found the lack of a power running game to counteract the speed of SEC defenses was the missing component. After the LSU Game in BTR 2005, Mullen and Gonzo revamped the offense to include a two back set with power blocking. That's what made the offense with Tebow so effective. You always had at least 1 blocker out of the backfield leading the way.

Malzahn's offense this year with Cam is almost the exact same thing, except he's following not only a lead back, but also a pulling guard or tackle. Classic power mis-direction.

Gatorrocks,

Just know you have the most immature head coach in football. He is the perfect example of the term "bitch." He gets his feelings hurt and he starts crying and throwing rocks. Tebow is gone, and so is your program for the next 5-10 years.

I hate to agree with an auburn fan but urban does shed tears way more than a man should. Especially ib public.

decided to drag Florida's name through the mud

1. The laptop situation happened at Florida
2. The alleged cheating and alleged cover up occurred at Florida.
3. The offer of money happened at MSU.

These are all facts and no one decided to drag Florida's name in any of the above but EVERYONE decided to drag Auburn's name into this.

You don't see any threads on this board about SACS coming after UF for the cover up do you?

Please don't let small things like facts stop your Auburn hating. We all know Cam is just the latest excuse for it.

How is an opinion wrong?

Any opinion that can be tested (i.e. Oregon is a better team than Auburn) can be wrong.

When the teams play, the opinion will either be right or wrong.

Glad we got that cleared up for you.

Urban can think whatever he wants. He should of known people would pick up on him voting Auburn #2 though. Its tradition/routine for coaches of the same conference to vote their best team as high as they can. But, he won 2 NCs and doesn`t really care if he gives the media ammo.

Yep... He doesn't care. Nor should he care.

i dont agree with Urban's vote but I dont think he did it out of being butthurt. Even though the entire florida program and fans especially me, is really butthurt about this season. But the fact is it doesnt really matter because everything will be settled on the field so there is no reason to get upset. When Florida was a big underdog to ohio state in 06 it made the victory that much sweeter.

But opinions are not facts. Facts are clear, opinions are not facts. I think Jennifer Aniston is hotter than any other 40 year old woman. That doesn't make that true. That's just my opinion.

Meyer THINKS Oregon is better RIGHT NOW. There is no right or wrong here. If Auburn wins, they are better. Until then...

If you think Urban Meyer has seen ANY team on "TV" outside of his own game film and the game of his opponents, you are a dumbass.

Gators Notebook: Oregon's offense inspires Florida

From the article:

"It's pretty mesmerizing to watch Oregon play a college football game right now," Meyer said in his Monday news conference.

Now follow these instructions:

1. Say you're sorry

2. Insert foot into mouth.

You might want to update the OP with Urban's response. Unless you'd rather just go along with the official speculation from al.com...

quote:

"It could have been 1A, 1B,'' Meyer said. "I watched that SEC Championship game and to say they are not the best team in America would be incorrect. I have not watched Oregon as much, earlier in the year I did. I've had Oregon ranked No. 1 for quite some time now. And it's just like when we were up there in the rankings _ unless you deserve to lose that ranking _ that's no disrespect to Auburn obviously. But it's 1A, 1B in my mind. I just had Oregon No. 1 for a longer period of time.''

LINK

He had Oregon ranked #1 for a while and didn't feel it was fair to drop them just because Auburn was so awesome.

I don't know what you're bitching about. This is a non story.

We'll know who the real #1 is soon enough. #2 is good enough to make the game and prove that you're the real #1 on the field.

Maybe he didn't get his $200,000 fee to vote Auburn #1.
