No I didn't. I said you had a player arrested for murder. You have, have you not? was Aaron Hernandez arrested for a double homicide committed while he attended Florida? I have all kinds of headlines saying that he was a murderer, and others saying he was a person of interest in murders committed while he was at Florida. Do you doubt Hernandez is a murderer?

Rapey is probably as accurate a term as we have for that sort of thing despite it being slang rather than a proper Webster approved term. It's not traditional rape as the sex was 'sort of' consensual but like traditional rape it's a severe violation of someone sexually -- their person and their body -- and can lead to long-term trauma.

Could you imagine trying to trust someone new after that? Or the humiliation of knowing other people watched you without your consent?

Yeah, but you went to college, as did I. Even at Vandy, I knew plenty of guys who wouldn't think twice about doing this sort of thing. There's just that mentality prevalent in a certain subset of the college male population. Too many hormones, too much new-found freedom, and too little basic sense makes for a bad combination. Some of them grow out of it. Some of them start unpleasant websites and die alone.

This is it in a nutshell. I know people who are in their 40 and 50's and they still think and act like they are still in High School/College. They never learn and they never grow up.

Was. Was a murderer.

Honestly, Urban's inability and unwillingness to take real control of his program (echoing '80s Miami) was a huge problem, but when we start getting to things like this, it's probably best to take a step back from using a double homicide to troll UF. You can argue Urban recruited 'low-character' players in his drive to win, but it's problematic to argue UF or Urban could have predicted Hernandez. Lots of schools recruit high-talent/questionable background players. Hernandez didn't, afaik, stand out as being a psychopath.

You're wrong too since his conviction was thrown out.

Nobody ever said that and Auburn has had ONE, just one of those incidents in the near past. All points were on one incident. I dont really think you want to compare UGA and Auburn in these things over the past. Im pretty sure UGA would have about 5 times as many. Including Athletic directors issues and coaches filming students? Dude

So, I guess we can say thugs go to Auburn?

At times. But when something comes up, we dont deflect it to another team.

Because he killed himself during the appeals process. It was vacated because it was irrelevant. If you're going to correct people, be honest enough to give context.

I'm not trolling. What have I said that is wrong? I was not talking smack about Florida, and that certainly was not my intent. I merely wanted to point out that people who want to point fingers at Georgia and saying our players are thugs don't have a lot of room to talk.

I chose Aaron Hernandez as my example, but I could have used any number of other players. Florida has done a good job of cleaning up their team, but surely you would admit that at one time, things were not nearly as pristine as some people want to make them out to be. (Auburn, being the main one)

Literally? Yes. Intellectually and honestly? No. It wasn't thrown out because he was cleared, it was thrown out because he wasn't able to continue the appeals process. In other words, any sensible person would note that the only verdict ever reached in a trial was 'guilty.'

Let's not play with silly attempts at being literal while ignoring the context. It's childish

Nor did any Georgia players that people point to, right? I mean, people are making big deals about our players shooting a BB gun in their dorm rooms and riding scooters without a license, while they have players who have done much, much worse.

THAT is the point I am making. I can assure you, I am not trolling Florida. I mentioned them embedded in a list of what some players in several schools have done or been accused of.

I am having a heard time understanding why some people can come on here and point fingers at Georgia, and when their own program is brought up they get offended.

Once again, this was an AUBURN fan making this post about UGA with the obligatory THUGA refrence amd you guys get pissy when we point to your hypocrisy for taking players who get kicked out of UGA?
