Florida had a lame duck head coach and is still ahead of Ole miss in recruiting

Are we just going to ignore the new normal of CFB recruiting and live in the 90s??

Honestly, they still should go after Fisch. He's now turned around two programs, and he will have access to a level of talent he's never had before.

You know what I see on this list? Or more importantly, what I DONT see on this list?

Teams in serious contention for the NC
OSU
Bama
UGA
ect

Youre not gonna build a consistent winner by relying on the portal every yr.
Its not meant to be the backbone of your team.

We know how that ranking got assigned

That is how rankings still are assigned for HS. If major schools show interest, the players star ranking is bumped up. This has never been a secret. If Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, or Notre Dame were after a player, he must be good, let us make him a 4 or 5 star. Those schools cannot evaluate all 250,000 HS football seniors and neither can the recruiting services

A lot of players get their rankings without proper evaluation and many players benefit from name on back of jersey or on front of jersey. Some states get more love than others as well, as it is easier to evaluate players based of density. Texas and Florida are two great examples.

That is TBD, we are just a few years into the NIL/Portal era and you are already seeing the impacts. This also followed the covid era of 6 years of playing time. The end of the 2020s will tell,

Jimbo or Coach O. You need someone with SEC experience.

Florida is so uppity, they most likely would consider those 2 to be others' trash. Especially regarding FSU.

But I don't think Jimbo would be a bad choice. He did win a title, he can recruit, and maybe he's learned from mistakes at 8&4? Chance at redemption. And you know he wouldn't be coaching for the money. Might actually be relatively cheap. And you can't get much more Southern than "Jimbo."

Then why does UF still have a higher team composite than both? MO and OM each have 33 4 star players on their rosters. UF has 48

A star gazer! Jackson Arnold was a 5*. Same with Arch.

Yeah, what about Jackson Arnold's 5* rating? Did that come from Arnold Scharzenegger? Or Tom Arnold?

Am I wrong but Florida doesn't currently have a president? If you don't have full support of the administration aligned with boosters and the type of control Lane has at Ole Miss..he definitely is not coming,( it's like Saban at Alabama) there is no "well coach we have to look at the total athletic budget. ." or well we will see what we can do...
