Asking for a friend. I've heard it's $0.

I don't believe he has one

Whats is the logic for no buyout at State. I know he has interviewed terribly before, is that the reasoning?

Its zero dollars. Dan knows he is on the hot seat all the time because we can hire Gruden whenever we choose.

It's a scientology thing. You wouldn't understand.

I think Richt had no buyout at UGA. The program trusted him enough and he trusted the program.
When it is time to move on, both sides would probably be on the same page. That was probably about 10 years in, though.

Wish I had kept a list .. Mullen is #1 choice of ..v Florida (#1), Penn State, USC, Michigan, Oregon, Virginia Tech, Miami, Texas A&M, UT .. and now Florida (#2)
Here was Dan's response in 2015 ..
Mullen has been linked to a number of jobs in the past calendar year, from Michigan to USC and now Virginia Tech rumors have even been thrown out there.
During his Monday press conference, Mullen was asked for his response to the coaching rumors. His response is sure to have Hail State fans everywhere breathing a sigh of relief.

"I don’t like commenting on other jobs just because it’s a waste of time," Mullen said. "I love the one that I have. Not much else on it besides that."
Mullen received a contract extension following 2014’s 10-win season, which made him the 16th highest paid coach in the nation at $4 million earned for the 2015 campaign.
"Maybe four or five years ago, that was always a big worry for everybody. But this happens every year," Mullen said. ‘I’ll tell you, as always, you’re either getting fired or you’re getting hired. I’ll always take getting hired. It means we’re winning and doing well."

It was re-negotiated last year with his new contract. No one seems to know what it is.

I dont doubt he likes Starkville, but that doesnt mean that better opportunities wont peak his interest. Like stated, he has interviewed before. Also, location hardly matters much these days

logic tells you Mullen doesn't want one so it will be more appealing when interviewing for a better job...2 coaches interview and are practically even...one has a huge buyout the other has none.
Also says he isn't fearful of State firing him
