lol at JFF not being DT

3700 yards 26 TDs passing
1400 yards 21 TDs rushing

in 2012

and Arch likely won’t be considered DT in Sark’s offense, but the dude can run and throw

A dual threat is a guy you have to commit a spy to. If your QB has never had spies on him, he’s not a dual threat.

dude completed 69% of his passes and had a 164.5 rating over two seasons.. maybe not in the NFL.. That’s DT and pretty damn good, but you can think that if you want.

I didn’t read all the responses, but the correct answer is any QB that makes the defense have to defend his ability to do both.

I don’t think you necessarily have to spy a dual threat, but I do agree - a dual threat is a QB the defense has to gameplan around their running ability.

If a defensive coordinator isn’t installing his gameplan for the week with his running ability at the forefront of his concerns, he’s not a dual threat.

That Jadyn Daniel's guy that won the heisman in 2023 is going to win NFL rookie of the year in the NFL seems pretty good at running and throwing.

A QB who is a threat to beat anybody one week (UGA), or lose to anybody the next (Vandy).

Different ppl categorize it differently, personally I think of a dual threat as a guy that is just as lethal running as he is throwing but I don’t think there are a lot of true dual threats. There’s some really good running qbs who are effective in the pass bc teams have to respect the QBs running ability. There are some elite passers that can always pick up easy yards bc the entire defense is dropping into coverage but very few QBs that can just choose either one.

I agree with this if you are a true DT someone has spied you throughout portions of a game, however I don’t think just bc you’re spied means you’re DT either.
