They ain’t rolling. Barely beating teams. Bailed out by turnovers

He’s a great coach. I actually think he’s kind of underrated. His offense has always been incredibly well designed IMO

Why not. Even Saban lost to a lowly Louisiana team. And DaBoer lost to Vandy as well last year.

It’s already crazy enough to have the 2 best coaches in the history of the sport, but what if we end up having the 3 best!!

Could he at least make an SECCG first before the discussion?

I can't decide if he's Curry or Shula

He's clearly not Shula

And if he beats auburn again this year, he's clearly not curry.

Yeah, once. In 2005, and beat TTech in the cotton bowl, and got fired after that season bc before that he proved he wasn't a winner. Also didnt exactly pull in top talent. (No disrespect to those teams. I loved those guys. I bled with them)

DeBoer is like the opposite of James Franklin...he has an incredibly good record against ranked teams. It was a great hire.

Now no one is going to be another Saban or Bryant...

but I'll settle for another Wallace Wade or Frank Thomas.

He's not the next GOAT, but he's very clearly an excellent offensive coach that plays a finesse style (bad run defense) that Alabama fans are probably not going to have that much to adjust to given the play of their teams the last few years. I'd say Deboer is clearly a top 10 probably top 5 cfb head coach. He's eaten Lanning's and Kirby's lunch when he's faced them and they are also top 10.

I like the guy and hope for the best, of course, but I laughed reading this. Just hard to even have that conversation and honestly you need to see several seasons worth of trends to even start having that convo. After the FSU loss we wanted to riot (similarly to the losses last year) and while we’ve seen them perform pretty well, all it takes is one embarrassing loss to feel like it’s smoke and mirrors. There are lots of wrinkles that need ironing on this team and this still feels like a rebuilding year, tbh.

I'm interested in seeing how Bama looks next week. Another road game against an unranked team.

DeBoer’s kryptonite.

We're all looking forward to a real DC and hope he parts ways with Wommack after this season. The 3-3-5 just doesn't cut it in the SEC. Everyone and their mama runs on you, and good rushing attacks like UGA and UT are almost impossible to stop.

Remember a guy named urban Meyer, hof coach won 2/3 of your football natty. His third natty team opened the season with a loss to VT(.500) acc team. Sound familiar?
