I think that was the core premise of the OP's main point.

Same thing I wondered. Is there no QB in the country at some small school like JSU etc. that would be better than Fitz, that we could've brought in??
And then he wasted Dak in 2014
And then he wasted Dak in 2014

Is in 9 years he never landed a highly recruited quarterback.
Croom recruited Tyler Russell a 4 star pro style QB that Mullen had for 4 years.

They may have the best D-Line in the conference. They returned 4 of 5 starters on an o-line that hung with Bama last year. A 1000 yard back, a 5 star LB they bought from Ole Miss, and 2 experienced QB’s. They have 10 win talent, Moorhead just has no idea how to use it. He’s not playing to Fitz strengths and he’s using the wrong RB. That’s not the fault of Mullen leaving no talent.
I was with you until you said he was using the wrong RB. He is not really using either running back, but Hill is a bit better than Williams. Just because Mullen didn't play Hill does not mean Williams is better.
Oh, and he IS playing to Fitz's strength now. Only threw 17 passes against Auburn, and up until desperation time against LSU he had only thrown 12 passes.
And Leo Lewis was not a 5 star LB.
Oh, frick it, I was never with you. You don't know what the hell you are talking about.

Okay my apologies, Leo Lewis was a 4 star but he was the #1 ILB in the country so whatever he’s still a great player. Hill bounces everything outside Williams is absolutely the better back, he just doesn’t fit what Moorhead wants to do so he rides Hill instead. I’m not sure how Fitz can throw for 2400 yards and 21 td’s one year and then turn into what he is now without you having some cause for concern on the coaching end but whatever, keep blaming Mullen.

You just wrong about Williams and Hill. Williams is a serviceable back who lacks break away speed. Hill is exceptional.
Fitz was never an SEC caliber passer, but he isn't working in Moorhead's offense at all. I have no real explanation for why, but you can't just say that Moorhead is not playing to Fitz's strengths. His strength is running, and he is actually running too much right now.

So Mullen can win games with Fitz and Moorhead can’t, but you’re having issues identifying the problem? I think it’s obvious. We will just have to agree to disagree on the RB position. I like Williams better he hits the whole harder and breaks more tackles. Hill may be more explosive but that’s only one element of a RB. Give me the guy who looks like he’s hit a whole and gotten his pad level down to get extra yards before.
