Didn't take long for a rational thread to get turned into a shite slinging contest.

I’m not shite talking Kirby. If you haven’t read my post I said he’s a great coach. I’m just saying he’s got to beat LSU if he wants to earn their respect more. Yeah LSU fans do respect him. But once again not as much as they would if he beats them. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for you to understand. This is not shite talking Kirby.

If anything, logic would’ve dictated slowing down the Tennessee game and speeding up the Kentucky game

Ummm. What? Lol

Logic.
I don't think it means what you think it means.

It's awesome to watch. He absolutely plays against the other team's strengths. He's become an excellent strategist.

Yes, I read your post. Well guess what? It meant a shite ton actually. And is one of the things that can build confidence in this team. That was only two seasons ago.

I don't think he gets it

Classic Sun Tzu, use your enemy to determine your battle plan.

If Vols play fast and UGA slows down they play into Vols strength. By using this same speed you take away the advantage.

UK has shown Kirby they can play slow but use the turnovers to gain advantage. Kirby played very vanilla. Both teams had just 1 INT and Kirby had the advantage in the kicking game. 3 FG's later it was enough to win while getting no quick UK scores the fire up UK.

LSu fans love, and buddy I mean LOVE, pointing out that kirby is 0-2 against LSU. Yet they never mention the fact Kelly is 0-2 against UGA. My theory that is probably at least 90% correct is that most of the more mouth breather-type lsu fans base their whole entire opinion of kirby on one single game 4 yeras ago, that being the 2018 lsu game. No excuses, they whipped our butt that day. We were ranked high, had a good team, and they beat us handily. But it's like literally every other game the man has coached in his life has never taken place. They will REPEATEDLY point to that one game as PROOF taht kirby sucks and is overrated. The ones that do branch out some and try to look at the here and now will WITHOUT FAIL use the missouri game as their #1 gold standard on how our team is this year. "You see them against missouri? Or kent state!?!? LMAO. They overrated!" Of course they conveniently forget that we beat the shite out of a team that beat the shite out of them. We also had our team solidly on cruise contorl with zero effort at the end of games against common opponents UF, AU, and MSU while they struggled with all.

What a melt

doesnt help that it was Coach O that pulled it off too. BK is a muuuuuuuuuuch better coach.

Coach O was just fine when Aranda was the DC and Brady was his passing game guru. Are you telling me House is a better DC than Aranda? Conversely, Kirby has upgraded his OC significantly
since '18 and '19.

Ok, dawgs. So you mean to tell me that if Kirby had actually spanked LSU those two times that y’all wouldn’t be beating your chest over that going into the game? Y

Most fans will. The reality is that this is a different LSU and UGA teams from the past. UGA is favored and on paper is a better team. LSU is currently playing great. Should be an EXCITING game!

From what I have seen, he has had this defense playing just as well as Aranda‘s. Overtime, it would not shock me at all if he actually had them playing better than Aranda did. And Harold Perkins wasn’t playing on that defense in 2019 either.

Speeding up the game would involve playing to Tennessee’s strong suit. Fundamental football strategy involves slowing down and limiting the possessions of high powered offenses and getting ahead of teams that are low-scoring and primarily defensively oriented. This is why Stoops slowed the game down on Saturday: his offense most likely couldn’t keep up with UGA’s.

Edit: the alternative way of stating this is that you can’t beat a team at their own game. UGA would not beat Tennessee in a boat race; Tennessee would not beat UGA in a defensive struggle with few possessions.

One thing you corndogs don't understand is Kirby is making 10 million a year. He literally never thinks about LSU fans much less gives a frick if they respect him or not.
