Back out of the conversation then. Clearly you have no business discussing why Clem wouldn't be helpful to the SEC. We don't take one way streets.

finished the past 4 seasons ranked higher than our preseason ranking. I think maybe only program that can say that. sounds more like we are consistently underrated. :)

I believe if Clemson was in SEC, we would have ben ranked in top 2 in preseason. Remember, SC was ranked no. 4 last year in preseason despite losing Conor Shaw and Clowney and other good players. our roster is clearly better than that team's roster last year yet were only ranked 15 or so.

You just said Clemson was elite because of high expectations, you fricktard.

Which is it?

I'm a football fan, not a money fan outside of paying the bills. :) if SEC was cutting you and other fans checks, I could understand why you care so much.

Bro, you guys play in the ACC. Your accomplishments don't mean shite. ACC < Big 10 < Pac 12/Big 12 < SEC

I don't see the contradiction. I'm saying we are underated (meaning ranked lower than reality in preseason) and people have high expectations for our team even though we are generally not ranked in top 10.

how many programs not typically in top 10 in preseason get mocked when they lose? lol Clemson is the only one. :)

I would argue any conference with FSU is the toughest to win, when FSU has a viable coach.

Clearly they don't, or you wouldn't be underrated. Or are you just talking about your fans? Elite just means your fans think you should win? Lol. Wow. Such unique.

All of them. Clemson just does it a lot so it's become a thing.

Newsflash: elite is about winning championships and being consistently top tier.

That's the only competition there is in the ACC. GT is solid... who's next? Duke? Christ... There are like 8 teams that would routinely compete for the ACC championship...

I think Clemson in recent years. has been consistently better than most SEC programs with exception of Alabama.

UGA is considered 'elite', but last champinionsship was 80 or 82, Clemson won it in 81. Auburn only has 1 recent title, with a QB who could have won a title for like 20 other programs.

Clemson is underranked b/c of SEC bias that has like the whole conference in the top 25 in the preseason.

missouri would lose a lot in ACC, your offense is always pretty bad.

the SEC east has been weak the past few years which is only reason MIzzou could win it.

Since joining the SEC, Missouri has played Alabama, Auburn and LSU three times total. Two of those three times were in the SEC Championship game. Neither Auburn nor LSU have played them in conference, and Bama only once.

Now *that* is quite a bit of scheduling luck.

Oh... Missouri is 0-3 in those games.

UGA is consistently referred to one of SEC's big six on here.

I think elite means you can see a certain program winning a national title. It is a possibility. And it is possible at Clemson.

I think Clemson would have won 1 recently if FSU was not in our conference, or even our division.

Being Big 6 in the SEC makes you elite?

That's the best part about these arguments, you expose the fact that deep down you know the SEC is much better

SEC bias is pretty real. SC ranked 4 last year is case in point b/c they had lost their 'stars' from the previous year.

TN this year was ranked highly despite being 6-6 last year. no ACC team could be ranked that highly after a mediocre season with no real big wins.
