A once proud program who hasn’t made any noise in almost 20 years

For a minute I thought UF would be bama before bama emerged in the 2010s.

College football is better when the gators are up, which I hate to admit. Now they just have crappy recruiting glasses and hire G5 coaches

What happened? Lack of booster support? Too much instate competition? Discuss

Calling it now too, if Golding doesn’t work out at Ole Miss sumrall will bail Florida for Oxford because OM has surpassed the gators in football big time and it’s not even close

UF has a lack of institutional commitment to football the same was LSU has a lack of support for men's basketball. Going nowhere fast.

If the UAA was smart they would fold the football program and go all in on basketball

But the UAA is full of morons

Should Dan Mullen have had more time?

His first 3 years were actually pretty good. 2021 was rough. 2022 could have been better with Mullen coaching Anthony Richardson.

I hate the turds but if we're being honest, they're an academically strong, flagship university of one of the most important states in the country. A state that also happens to be one of the richest football recruiting grounds on Earth.

Those coaches were more successful, by themselves, than dozens & dozens of other football programs. They have (on paper) plenty of rich alumni, plenty of tradition, and plenty of potential.

Anyone failing in the Gator's position has a fatal flaw - seems to be apathy.

He would have begrudgingly taken the UF job - although he likely would have fought with Stricklin tooth and nail about Glasscock coming with him instead of hiring Caldwell for GM.
