We faced Chubb.

And Chubb rushed for 7.3 yards per carry on his way to 146 yards. But yeah, I'm sure stopping Fournette won't be a problem.

Might want to pick the mic back up.

I guess it's as if letting Black Bear drop 43 on you ... simply doesn't matter.

I think its more like beating Auburn, Syracuse and Western Kentucky doesn't matter when being considered for a playoff slot.

5 turnovers in one game...... only Bama is this kind of sloppy play during a LOSS seen as a reason that they should still be in the discussion.

If it was another team 5 turnovers and a loss would be a dis-qualifier.

UT honestly is better than the Florida team LSU is propping up as some great win. Anyone who watched that game will tell you the same. Florida is well coached, but still a year away.

If you really don't know then you're too ignorant to carry on an intelligent conversation about college football.

Chubb had one run for 70 yards or so and didn't do much the rest of the game.

Bama has had poor showings on the biggest stages (post season) the last couple of years.

Bama has won 3/4 of their last 4 post season games that mattered. Flame away but it is true

Bama fans get flamed for having unrealistic expectations every year about winning a national championship. However, it seems that our rival fans expectations for Bama are worse. Bama has won 2 NCs in the past 4 seasons, the past two seasons didn't win but was in the first CFPO group of 4, the year before 11-1(11-2 bowl loss). Trend has been an NC every 3 years ... Hmmm this will be the third season since Bama's last NC. 3 year cycle is in effect this year and it trumps lsus 4 year cycle.

Also,

I don't think last year was a "poor" showing vs OSU. That was a good game vs a very good team. Bama turned over the ball too much and allowed too many big plays but still had a chance to win the game in the end. OSU was the better team and made the plays when needed.

Bama has earned the high esteem, BOD, over a lenghtly period of time. Current SEC champs.

12-2
11-2
13-1
12-1
10-3
14-0
12-2

That is consistency. Plus, 6 top2 recruiting classes in a row, top 2 current head coach (#1 in my opinion but other may have Myer ahead, bfd)

Stay calm, we will know much more after Nov. 7.
All this bullshite jabbering for nothing! Listen, if Alabama beats LSU, Miss. St., Auburn and whoever the East throws out there in the SECCG, then they deserve and WILL go to the playoffs...end of the conversation.

He didn't have the chance. To Bama's credit, they put the game away early and Georgia was forced to pass.

However, when they needed to rush the ball, they were successful.

Yeah, after the backups were in. He was a pedestrian 19 carries, 63 yards without the big run when we were up by 35.

So, yeah - LF can get 7.3 ypc on a big run if we're up by 35. We'll let you have that one.

UGA ran it more times than they passed

Marginally. The big run late against our backups accounted for 83 of UGA's 193 yards. Without it, that's 110 yards on 37 carries - less than 3 per carry.

We had their run game in check all game.

Sounds like Alabama's rushing attack against Tennessee.

42 carries for 117 yards and 2.8 yards a carry. And I didn't have to selectively take away any rushes to skew the stats.

You can't have it both ways. If we penalize Bama for losing because THEY DID ACTUALLY LOSE, then the same is said of UT. No matter how good YOU think they are. They are still the team that has blown MULTIPLE games with leads in the 4th quarter. So NO, they are not better than UF. They played their hearts out against Bama. Bama, however was tired of playing 3 BIG GAMES already (Ole MIss, UGA, A&M). UT is decent but not much more than that.
