He didn't go to the game. An Auburn fan played a prank on him making him think he was getting a free ticket to the game.

He should be given personal knowledge of the bagman and undeniable evidence that Auburn paid Cam Newton... but be barred from ever revealing it to the public.

I'm sure he didn't as well but he has money somehow, take it all

i was really hoping we'd all let him look it up to see that lengthy jail sentences for this type of crime have precedent. Since it seems he wants this guy to get whatever the legal precedent is.
Unless we're really doing this much bellyaching over a 4 year differnece that hasn't even been issued yet.

The guy can't go two seconds without admitting what he did. How the hell is he going to keep that a secret?

He'll use the argument of the age of the tree.

For double punishment, we could give him the VIN # of the car ya'll bought Eic Dickerson so that he has dirt on two SEC programs.

Whatever the normal punishment for poisoning two trees would be.

I think the punishment has to be significant just to prevent some other moron from attempting the same thing. You give him community service and a shitty little fine, there will be a line of houndstooth hats around the block.

I'll be honest and say I don't know exactly how much Spike he bought and how much he used. Does anyone know ? Did the co-op unlawfully let him have more than he should have had ?
But, with the trees in the center of town. Not a single person confronted him and said anything ? Also, didn't he do it during the middle of the day ?

Punishment by death or something. Iunno. But as far as being alive, the ability to retroactively take away Auburn's BCS Title, and most likely Scam Newton's Heisman? Hell on earth for that man. Worse than prison.

It's not so much the tree's per se. A man bought poison to kill something because he was angry over a rivalry. Today trees, tomorrow a Tigerette, our mascot Aubie, etc.
He needs to drink a big gulp of what he fed the tree's, and I am good with that. No jail time.
You can't be serious.

Apparently the bagman is one scary individual. Everyone is afraid to talk about him by name.

But Eric Dickerson never played for us. Mississippi State can't get punished for trying to buy Cam Newton. That doesn't make sense. Are Auburn fans stupid, or just overly sensitive about their cheating?

2 years ago...i know you're new and maybe if we remind you enough you'll catch on, but these issues have been hashed out.

Updyke is a real POS who chose to destroy something important to a group of people instead of creating something positive in his own life.
I think he should serve 4-5 years in jail. He should be fined whatever the cost of the attempts to save the trees were (which of course he won't be able to pay). He should also be banned from all SEC events for life.

And they always preface it with "I didn't believe it at first" or "at first, I thought it was crazy, too, but the facts are undeniable" to try and seem more objective.
