When Arky joined I started cooking Boston Butts when my team is playing them. I have done this most years, and the turnout is good because the food is good. So I was thinking maybe brisket for UTx, games, but I could do steaks, such as ribeye my favorite. Or I could do a prime rib. So, when Texas joins and they are playing my team, I am most looking forward to the beef dishes I will make.

Honest answer ? All the excuses the first time you lose to a Mississippi State, or Kentucky, Tennessee, or some such. Because I understand, you'll be cool with losing to 'Bama, Georgia, and the like. You'll even - although you'll puke in your mouth a bit when it happens - accept an A&M loss and actually brag about losing to Oklahoma.

But it'll be losing to the rest of us, and you will - rest assured, that will just chap your Austin asses. You'll either bitch about how low rent Lexington or Knoxville was ... or how low rent we were in your fair city.

And those tears - although full of oil money and weird arse gay pride - will be sweet as iced tea made right. With the hot water poured in a pitcher with the sugar already in the bottom.

Oh - Hell - and the first time LSU travels to Austin. Because win, lose, or draw ... you'd best have beer deliveries lined up for halftime.

That was a fine sight, when LSU at Vandy made that happen. Stay Thirsty, my Tiger friends.

An extra automatic win for the top half of the conference.

The realization that you were just the bait to lure the big fish must be crushing. You thought there was a “gentleman’s agreement.”

Can’t wait to welcome Texas and Oklahoma to Lexington. Playing SEC teams isn’t like going to Ames, Manhattan, Waco and Lawrence. Both of you all are in for a rude awakening!
