Not really. It was a close SEC game and this wasn’t exactly like an Eli backing up Romaro Miller situation.(still love you Ro).

If Darts injury was potentially serious or we were playing a bullshite team, you would have seen Sanders come in.

Arkansas was garbage and we could have very easily lost that game.

Fewest passing attempts this year and most sacks I believe.
A redshirt Eli compared to a 3-4 year starter in Ro is not really the same comparison to a guy that has 11k total yards backing up Dart.

like your starter Payton Thorne, who is a grad transfer from Michigan St?

No, like guys who decided to stay at their current schools.

GT and Mercer had fewer attempts.

He had 2 sacks against Arkansas, 5 against Bama, and 4 against Tulane. He also was right at his completion percentage on the season.

Why in the world would he transfer to Ole Miss

Kiffin used NIL in order to have one of the deepest QB rooms in the country. He also wanted Sanders to push Dart and that has definitely happened as well.

He's saying Freeze's top targets all decided to stay at their current schools and didn't enter the portal.

We wanted Leary and Hartman. We wanted Sanders but he told us no.

We wanted Maye but UNC threw him a bag. Other than Maye maybe Pratt stayed. Or the Coastal Carolina dude.

At one time, I read some barn fans post that his transcript was so "spotty" that he didn't have a lot of schools that would accept most of his credits. No idea if any of that is true, but in MS a fence post could gain college admission.

I heard Auburn couldn't get him academically approved. Not sure if it's true.

Auburn was scared of his shoulder injury, couldn’t afford taking a QB that couldn’t get reps in so they didn’t go hard after him.

Obviously with hindsight I wish Auburn would’ve pursued harder.

The shoulder injury makes the most sense as a deterrent to schools who needed someone to be Day 1 ready. Ole Miss had the luxury of being able to take a chance on him as insurance in case Dart went/goes down at some point.

Its really not hard to figure out. We wanted Grayson McCall, dude stayed. Then we wanted The qb from Duke, who also stayed at Duke. Then we hoped Tulane's qb would enter the portal.

All three guys stayed at their current schools
