45,000 ICU beds in the whole country and we'll need millions. Everything is about to get shut down, we HAVE to flatten the curve or we are REALLY actually screwed.

Dude ive followed that tracker since early feb, you are the fool behind. I also saw teh leading health expert in the country tell congress TODAY that we will have "likey 6 digit deaths or more". Keep on touching your faces, Trumptards and Boomers. It'll be FINE.

Im sure Dr Fauci is wrong.

I think some of this is just classic denial.
When was the last time the SEC cancelled athletics to this degree?

I’m healthy as shite and live on an island away from mass population so I’m good bro. I can handle a little cough and fever if it finds me.

Hopefully your shadow doesn’t scare you this evening.

Fred Hoiberg certainly didn't help things by trying to coach with the flu.

Nah...
It’s classic ignorance...
They’re either legitimately ignorant or they’re pretending...but my guess is it’s legit...

Well hell, you may just be on to something.

They closed frickin' Disney World.

How are you ignorant at this point?
A massive sports tournament that we were all shitposting about a few days ago was cancelled unexpectedly.
When was the last time it was cancelled?

This is real.

here's something the public isn't being told.

I'm not sure what you mean?

Public officials, both at the federal and local level are trying to ensure they don't incite panic. To that end, they aren't shouting warnings from the rooftops about what could happen here and what has happened in other countries. The last thing we want to happen is for our society to break down with people getting shot at costco and kroger.

That being said, that information is out there. Some of the more panic-proned folks on here probably should avoid it, but you can go searching and find it.

Broadway has gone black too. It's obvious the man is trying to force us into self-quarantine. I hope people start taking the hint.

Makes sense to close disney. Because the way everyone is acting on the news if you get this you die immediately.

I think 1% survive this. At least that's the way the headlines intend us to feel about it.

As I said in my above post, they want to do this as gently as possible to avoid hysteria.

The end goal isn't nefarious. It's to give the hospitals breathing room to handle the initial cases.

Slowing this thing down also buys us time to field a cure.

We can beat this thing, but we are going to have to be fricking strong as a nation.

We can have discussions over the initial failures of our government and governments around the world after we triumph.

Stay safe SEC baws. Things are going to get crazy over the next few days.

Or nothing will happen over the next few days or weeks. Ohio said they probably have 100,000 people with it. And their hospitals are not overwhelmed or even noticing anything. And nobody is dying.

If this is 10x as bad as the flu, as the experts claim, then that is nearly 500k deaths in America.

How about a ban bet on that number?

Yes they're trying to compel people to self-quarantine, and if people will stop being A-holes and hollering "You can't make me," we'll get through this thing a lot faster and get back to normal.

News flash: You may not to get to do that which you wish to do or go where you wish to go for a while, and you may miss out on some sports events, to keep this bug from multiplying exponentially ... that's the relevant thing, the speed and the fury with which this thing metastasizes .. regardless of the death rate or how sick it makes people compared to all the other diseases people keep bringing up.

That goes against the American traditions of libertarianism and unfettered personal freedom, but you'll live.

I’m agreeing with you 100%
The ignorance is directed at the morons that you are trying to talk to...
These morons comparing it to the flu are sitting in grandma’s basement looking into a mirror admiring themselves as they post...after all, that’s all they care about...
My suggestion to you is “frick em”...
Don’t bother...don’t bite the hook...

They found out that a Utah Jazz player had KungFlu and didn't want to take any chances and risk getting sued.
