The corps does some stupid embarrassing shite, though. I only respect the guys who serve. The rest are playing dress up and deserve to be mocked.

I actually still think the Fran hire was not bad. I think he could have been successful given time to get through the probation, but I don't blame him for bolting. The way he did it was crappy, but I probably would have left too.

What about those that can't serve due to medical reasons?
Once again, you know that the number of cadets they can commission is capped by law, right?
Especially with the "right-sizing" of the military, if you commission a total number of about 3,300 Army Lieutenants/year, of which 1,000 are from USMA and 300 or so are OCS, do you really think every cadet will commission when there's a NATIONWIDE limit of 2,000 contracts across all R.O.T.C. programs combined?
Now imagine what happens when USMA class sizes are cut to about 770 (starting with the next class) and go from there.
On a more practical note: Calling someone a nazi who is wearing a World War II U.S. Army Officer's uniform replica as a cadet uniform is just ignorant.

Auburn had just beaten Nebraska in the worst Cotton Bowl of all time. We were walking around Fair Park, totally obliterated, it was like 2PM and freezing...
Anyway, these douchey Texas looking people start trashing the SEC or something while we're walking by. My buddies and I all happen to love REK and the like, so we launch into some pro A&M insults we know primarily from Texas country music. Before I know it we're brawling in the park. As the fight ensues, I feel something in my back so I turn around and swing, only to find it is a cop's baton, which he proceeds to slam into my chest about 5 times as I back up begging for him not to take me to jail.
He gets really pissed at our stupidity and yells at us all for several minutes before letting us go.
