What are some things you’ve cancelled or bailed out on for football?

I used to fake sick on national signing day in highschool every year and no one knew but my dad because he put me up to it to keep him informed. Those were the days.

More than one fall wedding.

I also usually keep my work schedule clear on signing day so I can follow along.

Same. I never understood how anyone born in the south could schedule Saturday weddings in the fall.

We did. But Ole Miss sucked and was on the road, State was off, and USM (ha) was playing 650 miles away (and their fans won't even cross the street to go to a game), so it worked out well.

Except for the hurricane we didn't factor in.

I didn't fake sick or anything, I just straight-up skipped school/class every year from my junior year of high school until my fifth year at Auburn. Had an exam.

I got about ten texts from my mom wanting updates in the 50 minutes I was taking the test

I’ve defintely skipped out on some bridal stuff like bachelorette parties or bridal showers. Some baby showers.

shite gets real precarious when basketball and football overlaps.

I didn't skip it, I just changed one of the words:

Priest: Do you reject Saban?
Me: I do.

Priest: And all his works?
Me: I do.

Priest: And all his empty promises?
Me: I do.

The tragic backstory which ultimately lead to the creation of the person we now see today is starting to become clear.

Weddings
Birthday Parties
Family Reunion
Work( I do not work TSIO or Iron Bowl Day)

Almost missed my Best Friend ‘s wedding that I was to be a groomsman in. They wanted to get married on UGA/FL Saturday, her Brother and Dad realized after a few weeks what day it was and weren’t having it.(my friend is a Tech Fan and couldn’t give two shits about accommodating a UGA GAME) At that point they wanted to move it to TSIO and I told them I would be bowing out. They ended up moving the wedding up an hour and having a flat screen brought in to the reception area. About 30 minutes before kickoff I got a call that my Dad had a heart attack in the deer stand so he and I ended up watching on the TV in his ER Room.

I will say that last fall I was in a wedding during Auburn week that I didn’t miss. And thank god for that wedding that I didn’t see a single snap. So it never happened in my opinion.

Nothing, up here we don't concern ourselves with such petty occurrences.
