Plus I think we are 11th in the country in yards per play and 12th in total offense (again, despite losing possessions).

You're 12th. LSU is 8th.

Should be a shootout, then.

But I don't think he said that anyway.

He claimed a 250 pound TE blocking a 250 MLB is an advantage for Bama.

"We're just better" is exactly what he's implying.

I just have a hard time imagining this game, in Baton Rouge, not being like every other game in Baton Rouge. 24-20/20-17/17-14 type game that is tied or within 1 score in the 4th quarter. It's just how it seems to go.

Maybe. Although those were with Les at the helm. And that may be a good or bad thing for LSU fans when it comes to this game.

which I think you could argue has a more dynamic offense than Alabama.

Eh.

How did you deduct I was referring to blocking in that context? I went from saying our #2 receiver is better than your #2 corner, to saying our 6'6" tight end is a mismatch for your linebacker

I don't want to speak for Rise, but I'm pretty sure he was talking about the LB being a mismatch with OJ in the passing game.

He's a coverage mismatch in every game, yet he only has 22 receptions on the season. I assumed you were talking about blocking because he's an afterthought in the passing game.

Well, they went for 522 yards and 36 offensive points against Alabama's defense. Pretty impressive to me.

When everything someone posts equates to "We're just better in every way", they're a homer.

Unless they're an Alabama fan, then they're just being realistic, field goal kicking aside.

If patriots fans say "we're the best" is that them being homers or just them telling a truth that pisses everyone else off? You act like the two are mutually exclusive. Alabama has been the benchmark in college football for the last 8 years. Sorry that's tough to accept

See my previous response. He's a mismatch in every game that manages 3 receptions for 36 yards. That's not going to break LSU's defense.

The vast majority of those yards were passing yards.

If you want to argue that they are a better passing team, I'd agree with you, but dynamic means being able to do more than one thing well.

LSU's LEADING receiver has 10 more yards, one more catch, and the same number of touchdowns as our "afterthought." Got damn, this might be a blowout after all.

Why would he be matched with a LB? Why wouldn't he be matched with a safety like we did against Ole Miss? Seemed to work out pretty well and Engram is better receiving threat than Howard.

None of this has anything to do with match-ups. Acting like Alabama has an advantage in every match-up in this game is delusional.

I feel like I saw Beckwith covering fast WRs multiple times against OM, and he was doing it well. If anyone can cover Howard, its Beckwith.

I don't see a lot of LSU fans saying passing game is an advantage. Do you?

Tell that to Sumlin and Swinney

While Beckwith is very athletic for a LB and he may be matched against Howard a couple of times, it is far more likely that Adams is matched up with Howard like he was against Engram.
