Najee won't get nearly enough carries to win the Heisman. And, on top of that, he doesn't break huge runs, so if he gets 11 carries he's going to get 80-90 yards. He's not going to have games where he as 12 carries for 145 yards, because he doesn't break runs > 40 yards. Ever.

Surprised Stingley of LSU isn’t listed. Shutdown CB and punt returner could make some noise if the offense struggles and the D is carrying the team ala 2011

Chase and Smith at 100:1, sure I’ll take it for 10 bucks.

Those were the two that immediately jumped out at me as having the best value for a potentially big return on investment.

Who was the last WR to win the Heisman? It’s not because they aren’t good, it’s just rare.

26. George Pickens, Georgia: 100-1

10-1 he's arrested or kicked off the team before the Heisman is announced.

Defensive guys are faux pas when it comes to winning the heisman. Why didn't Derrick Thomas win it when he set the record for a single season in sacks? "26!" The guy destroyed teams singlehandedly. When on to do it in the pros too!

They are probably thinking UGA has an 11 or 12 win season, with a stout defense and Newman has a huge upside with the new offense.

Most pundits will be comparing what he does this year to what Fromm did last year. It could be a stark contrast due to play calling that is about to happen.

Side note: he basically took Wake Forest on a 9 win season. That in itself is a huge feat.

He's literally never had a run of over 40 yards Todd. In his entire career at Alabama. Ever.

Feel free to check the stats.

I wouldn't go that far. Wake Forest has been solid for a little while now under Clawson. Also, they won 8 games.

2016 : 7-6
2017 : 8-5
2018 : 7-6
2019 : 8-5

So, this season was basically the same as their last 3 seasons. They've gone 3-5 or 4-4 in the ACC for 4 straight years and been to 4 straight bowl games.

100% Jamie Newman isn’t even on this list if he went to a program that always no matter what gets their guys overrated so highly.

Will be awesome when UGA finally come to the reality that he is just an average QB that benefitted from a stud WR in Surratt.

For Wake? John Wolford, Sam Hartman, and Jamie Newman. Newman is a solid player and I think he’ll do well for us with a much better offensive line in front of him and running game to lean on, but I am not buying any Heisman stock.
