I understand while you feel that way because of the nature of those scandals vs this one, and I apologize. But honestly I couldn't think of any other controversial CFB situations that compared to this one so I, by default, used those.

Edit: if it makes you feel better I edited the original post to remove the analogy. I wouldn't want that to undermine the intent and message of this thread ( I realize it might already be too late for that for some UGA fans).

Most UGA fans see this a a tragic situation where people lost their lives. A couple of small media outlets are trying to get clicks but that will fade quickly as the next “rush to have a story “ happens

Lol that’s what I thought. Worst case scenario is the family of Willock sues the school (they said a few days ago they aren’t) but if they change their mind and do UGA will settle and this will be over. You think the NCAA or SEC is gonna come down on UGA because 2 recruiting hostess were hanging out with members of the team off the clock? Wishful wishful thinking.

I missed this post the first read thru. I'd like to thank you for it. I think it's the best reply by any UGA fan in the thread so far. It shows that at least you understand the potential seriousness of the situation and the difficult nuance that it presents.

Short term I think Kirby is going to have to answer a bunch of difficult questions. Those will be coming from the school administration, the public and media outlets.
What happens next depends on the answers to those questions and what else is uncovered as folks dig deeper into the situation. Honestly, in my mind that future is too murky to discern at this point.
But I do know, you don't want people looking around, nothing good ever comes from it.
